The headline could've been better, but the rest of the article is okay, it's not about nuclear-capable projectiles being used for the first time of course, but about MIRVs — and how it could invite preemptive strikes instead of deterrence, as it makes more sense to destroy such payloads when they are still on the ground.

The idiocy race always wears you out 😆

@romin
When I'm getting little sleep, I often start losing track of days — I look at the calendar and see it's Sunday, bun on intuitive level it still feels like Saturday — because it never concluded properly.

@iska
Before it became mainstream? 🤭
It probably always was mainstream, but people were less open about it, which might've given it the charm of an underground subculture…

But people being more open is certainly better, also isn't it better that it's no longer cool? I mean seeing people online say "I want a girlfriend with BPD" is kinda disgusting 😖

WTF does it even mean when you're not getting any sleep? 😩

Making Pleroma wear a stocking on her nose? 🤔

@theorytoe
I agree, this IS annoying, but man, come on, using venv isn't complicated at all:

python3 -m venv .
./bin/activate.sh
pip3 install some_shit

You can then use this dir and move it around (mostly) without worrying about system-wide python getting upgraded.
Besides, you can always force it to install modules user- or system-wide and have leftovers in site-packages — which was kinda annoying too.

Got my cats a Twitter!
I'm afraid they won't be much better than Elon Musk and could be even worse — they'll destroy it in less than a week that is 😹

Should I start calling it 𝕏 already? 🤔

The fact that Microsoft check it with JS client-side, but not what you submit via actual request enabled me to set 01/01/1900 as my DoB in MS account 😂

Hayek might've explored the economic aspects more, while Kropotkin — the "political" side of things, but otherwise the ideas don't seem incompatible 🤷
@newt

@genmaicha
Yeah, I agree, but not in every country and not every community is like that — same as with libertarians. I think that sometimes we have to go back to basics and to those who might be considered the founders of the ideas, instead playing along with the left-right discourse, which in my opinion has hit a dead end and serves no other purpose than setting people against each other.
@newt

@newt
Not in every country libertarians are of this flavour — although to my surprise, even outside US this caught on much more than one could expect, and in the US this is the faction that has taken over the party.
@genmaicha

@newt
Yeah, I agree!
TBH I'm not, you know… to well-versed in it myself, I've read some Hayek, but his Constitution of Liberty is still resting on the bookshelf untouched 😅
But I did visit a few local libertarian events and I know some of their points.
This is what I'm talking about: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paleolib

Yeah, sadly that IS a major contributing factor, but there are other things at play as well.
Don't let that discourage you!
