@Tony
You might've migrated your Pleroma settings to DB like many do and changing it in the config doesn't have any effect anymore.
You can change it in AdminFE, I believe it's under Setttings → Instance → Upload limit

I'd take a bite in these wars, but it all doesn't matter as long as Google still exists — it's a way less significant problem.
And I don't really have a favourite in Intel vs. AMD, it's all x86_64 garbage.

🔥 take, 8 bit CPUs

@thatguyoverthere
If we go on with analogies, it would be similar to a parasite or rogue cell taking over the organism.

@thatguyoverthere
Yeah, that is true. But with people you can usually guess what interests they have, governments and corporations become corrupt, people in charge might have their own interests, often very different from the interests of nation as a whole or even corporation as a whole — bad management can start cannibalising the company easily, prioritising short-term interest and their personal bonuses over steady growth in the future.

@thatguyoverthere
But I don't think any analogies would help solve the international conflicts once and for all — it might seem like leaving everyone to their own devices is a good idea, but in reality, conflicts don't get resolved in a good-mannered fist-fight, they tend to escalate and spread like wildfire. Taking a side early on might help minimise expenses resolving them later. It doesn't always work of course and it still becomes a clusterfuck.

@thatguyoverthere
When it's indeed a bystander and a well-agreed upon fist fight — no one does, but what if one of the participants never agreed to this fight, but was attacked stealthily with a knife, got wounded and now requests a gun from someone, whom he considers friendly — to fight back and to feel safe in the future?
Perspective is everything!

> many of the dead Russian soldiers are never registered as having died
They have just transitioned to a different branch of military. Undead troops are an indispensable combat arm when you're looking for a way to write off some expenses 😉

@twsparkle
I'm still gradually getting used to the fact that my hardware from decades ago is officially "too old", not just bit dated 😂

@metallcorn
У меня ничего не тормозило кстати — точнее всё работало примерно одинаково. У меня всё началось чуть раньше, и никаких WinModem'ов и прочего несовместимого оборудования не было, мне ещё в конце 90-ых друг дал вот такой Red Hat: social.librem.one/@m0xee/10856
Тоже прилагался к какому-то… журналу что ли. Вообще купить книгу или журнал ради того, чтобы просто получить в комплекте более свежий дистрибутив — это прямо моя тема в то время 😂

@metallcorn

I see questions asked
Advice requested too
I see them unanswered
For me and you
And I scream to myself
What a wonderful void

This goes emulated in software and runs at 2 fps 😞

@Tony
Real. I'm pretty sure it got adopted this way from some other language, could be French, but I'm not certain.

@iska
And sure, ARM, which is originally de-abbreviated as Advanced RISC Machine doesn't use limited number of instructions either, I suppose, that would make instruction set extensions impossible.
Modern RISC approach is about having to use a particular set of registers for operations, not having different flavours of the same one for different operands like Intel does, but not about having fewer instructions in principle 🤷
@p

@iska
I don't know, maybe it's possible to have a RISC-V CPU module for reform as the design is originally modular, although it might require extra work, but all currently available offerings, both for original Reform, and for newer Pocket Reform, are ARM-based:
shop.mntre.com/products/mnt-re
crowdsupply.com/mnt/pocket-ref
Which isn't bad, like I said, RISC-V is more a personal preference in this case.

@kravietz
The most fun part is that they seem to have decided not to spend any money on the project that at least had a semblance of looking scientific and decided to copy over the Wikipedia and just change the parts they don't like 😌
Every evil intent of this state is mostly neutralised by desire to steal on every step of the plan and sheer incompetence.
