@gemlog
Of course they couldn't call it cheese anymore, but they still have to label it somehow and they came up with "cheese-like product". It became a running joke in Russian political Twitter, how cheese-like product gets sold to human-like creatures 🤣
@gemlog
In Russia they've been doing it since 2014 when importing quality food from EU became problematic or too expensive for the less wealthy to afford. Volume of course also got reduced up to %25-40%! 😱
The most funny thing was with cheese — quality cheeses are relatively expensive to make so local producers attempted to do something to reduce the price, most often by replacing animals fats with vegetable ones.
@Granwalder
🤣
In Moscow it's more like ~70k for a man, which makes life slightly more bearable, but still: you pay for utilities (if you're lucky enough to own your concrete box), make four of these tours to the supermarket — and that's it. But somehow you have other expenses too so those who have average salary don't spend that much on food.

Doesn't work like that! Who knows what they might start using: cucumbers, eggplants, bats — baseball and of COVID kind, armadildos (I hope I got that right, did I? 😏 )
@useless_idiot
I remember in early 2000s half the iron fences in Moscow had penis patterns — ah, the careless times, everyone was laughing, no one even thought about censoring this. Nowadays you can get arrested for using yellow and blue clothespins or something like that 😂
The kids are 14 and 16 y.o. they can't even be criminally charged with such crimes — I don't even know how they plan to prosecute them. Shit's surreal!
@rvps2001
In Russia such a law exists since January 1st 2022 and as in some regions "partial martial law" is in effect, I suppose, so is this law.
If somewhere else in the world Russians get sanctioned — Russia did that first, Putin remains the master strategist!
@mia
Clockwise or counterclockwise? 🤔
@mirabilos @yurnidiot
That's the sight you have to "enjoy" quite often when you keep a bobtail cat. Coming from the one who has two of them 😹
@kevinrothrock
So it would be just and outdated copy of Wikipedia with "truth" from Medinsky. Why would anyone use such a thing when there is original and updated Wikipedia without all the "truth" — probably the ones who don't have access to it 😂
@garrison @StefanThinks
Da-a-amn! Who could've expected that! 😲
@Mcdyer
Doesn't have to be washed, looks neat as it is 😻
@Badscrew @thomasfuchs
It's CYBERtruck, it's for CYBERspace! Who could've expected for it to rain in cyberspace, eh? 😏
Well, this actually sounds like a good applied AR task. Maybe someone will make an Apple Vision Pro app to hide visible rust in real-time 😆
@fribbledom
That's how I got rid of Telegram — I got an email from an old friend we don't talk often with: "Why did you delete your account?"
But I didn't delete anything, I just didn't log into it for 6 months or something like that and it git culled automatically.
"Well, I guess I have no use for this now",— I thought and deleted the app from my phone 🤭
@beandad @nixCraft
I have a Microsoft All-in-One keyboard like that, but I've never written a line of C# code, I'm not sure I could even read it.
It came as a gift with Lumia phone — not a bad keyboard to use with something plugged into a TV set. It's compact, has a trackpad, and to my knowledge it's even splash resistant — so you can enjoy your beer without worrying too much. Maybe there is something about C# devs we don't know about and it's somehow related 😏
@neural_meduza
Да пора бы уже! На всё остальное уже ввели 😂
@magicalthinking @ThatCrazyDude
But they are effective — they discredit eco-activism really well. Now a lot of people think that when someone speaks about it — it's not even important to pay attention and decide if points are valid, they just think that it must be one of those people who do batshit insane stuff.
@randahl @Blotreport
I don't have any definite proof — I don't even have any plausible theory to explain why he does it, but he obviously spreads some of the Kremlin's talking points from time to time.
And I completely agree with this: https://twitter.com/davidfrum/status/1580001641939750912
I don't think that anyone in the West outside of some tankie think tanks maybe, could've come up with such wording. This "Khruschev's mistake" indeed looks like a planted phrase to me.

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
