That's odd, for me the winget way always worked — it's not very obvious, but nonetheless. It stopped working with one of the updates last autumn, but it looked more like a bug than something done intentionally. The next update that restored it, the winget way started working again both for Edge itself and for WebView2 — which I don't want in my system either.
It could be related with that court ruling of course, but I did not look so 🤔

@hj
Isn't it relatively easy to restore them though. I think it's just an ordered array of descriptors of where to look for bootloaders 🤔

@quad
You can remove new Edge using winget. They did break it with one of the updates, but I think it works again now.

@MK2boogaloo I do like meaningful soundtracks that have artistic value even outside of the game TBH
Transistor OST is a great example of one: supergiantgames.bandcamp.com/a
I have it on CD that came with deluxe edition of the game and I sometimes listen to it even though I haven't played the game in years. I think Darren Korb did an impressive job with it and with Bastion soundtrack too. I presume both of their later games have good OSTs too, but I'm yet to play them.

If you work at a store where they sell candles? Someone will — they just won't know it 😏

Exactly! I didn't have a job even before the lockdown, but at least I didn't have to eat bread, e-eww! 😖

I mean it doesn't know any answers that we don't already know, the trick is to expand very vague criteria it's given with what people are likely to expect — no magic there 🤷

@pointlessone @risottobias@tech.lgbt @seldo
Isn't it exactly how it works? It doesn't "give answers" it just attempts to predict a criteria that you do not define explicitly. Then it "hallucinates" some totally random stuff (that takes the most computational resources) and matches it against that criteria, presents to you what statistically matched it the most — that's it!

@dushman
She's just scared you might immediately use those to get your hands on a more expensive shotgun 😱

@MK2boogaloo
I know a few examples of soundtracks that do have statement and were also done to promote the game… But I know even purer form — elevator music! That one definitely doesn't have any statement at all and wasn't made to sell anything 😂

@Loki
There are two wolves inside you: one is in the shower, the other one sits on a toilet 😂

@pom
Damn! Right when I was going to apply for residence! 😣

@djsundog
Apple is utter disappointment nowadays:
Zero innovation — no interesting ideas.
No longer "just works" — both hardware and software became a mess, I'm sending this reply from a 2008 Mac Pro and I have even older hardware that still works perfectly
— that's what reliable hardware is
And even the design, even the visual part of it… well, it's disgusting! It's no longer something that gets copied by other companies to look cool, Apple itself looks like a faint copy of what it used to be
