@splitshockvirus They do it out of safety concerns and I totally understand that, yet, I just don't feel safe using headphones while walking, now in addition to bikes we have these nasty electric scooters everywhere and I do it mostly at night time 😅
@splitshockvirus Oh, yes, walking is great! When I had an office job I always tried taking long walks both in the morning and in the evening instead of using public transportation. This, in part, is where my dislike for bicycles stems from 😂
In Moscow downtown a lot of streets don't have dedicated bike lanes and cyclists prefer to use pedestrian space.
@staticnoisexyz
What I said about planning still holds. I'm Russian myself, it was just my attempt at thinking in reverse, not theorizing about what life in Russia is 😅
@kevinrothrock
@kevinrothrock As for characters, it might also be something language-specific, not just a local quirk. In Russian you use a lot of compound words and in pursuit for higher word count you can usually just split those into more words, keeping the meaning of text more or less the same. Using character count might be a way to counter that. But I'm no linguist, just my thoughts 🤷
@kevinrothrock I think it's like that because in Russia holding down same job for a year is a privilege to many, Kevin.
This lack of planning shows in everything. Even in better years long term strategic planning horizon was 5 years at best, now no one knows what will happen next month, but something might and it might be a 180⁰ turn.

Но саундтрек написан уже почти 20 лет назад 😁
@neural_meduza
@useless_idiot This! Quite literally the first time I see this mentioned. Have to do some research.

Да нет, скорее вполне традиционны. Впрочем, и больным ублюдком быть могу 😊

Ну в данном-то случае скорее позавидовать — это же их будут за шланг чесать, при чём бесплатно, а не нас 🤣

Artillery ammo hunger on the Russian side might have also contributed to that, they've been complaining about that for months. My best guess, that without ammo, "barrels" themselves are often viewed as useless. Might be also due to wear — I doubt they manage to properly maintain them in all this chaos, especially with supply lines strongly disrupted.
Some have predicted that in late spring when Russian artillery losses started showing only slight growth.
@randahl
@randahl
Sure, but that's not what I mean — even OSI teams struggle with getting up-to-date info and Institute for Study of War always notes this in their reports — it's no longer the near-realtime info we used to enjoy months ago.
This might affect Oryx reports noticeably as they only count *confirmed* losses and for 🇷🇺 losses that might be hard as that info sometimes came from 🇷🇺 side, but now they are rationing such info.
In other words, 🇷🇺 losses might be even higher than that, much higher.
@neural_meduza
Так много эвфемизмов: уличные жители, чесать за шланг, м-м-м…
@iska
Oh, I'm not even sure I had noticed that 😅
Somehow I always get triggered when it's only three bytes and not padded with zeroes.
@iska
Void of course! 🤣
But that's me, as it's what is on all other machines, for you that'd be Debian.
@worldisrotting
Really tough choice! Supporting the bnuy as I think such a beautiful cat will win anyway 😹
@thor I think it always worked exactly like that, because curiosity and other "romantic" stuff subsides and if you don't share interests or worldview, you just end up in an unhappy marriage, frustration starts growing and it might might end even worse.
So no, it doesn't take longer — just always keep in mind what you want from that person and don't waste their time if you are not interested romantically and don't let that person be the one wasting your time 🤷

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
