I think your old profile stays intact, there is just an indication that you have moved. The ones who follow you might get a notification.
I think you can also export the list of people you follow easily and import it into your new account.
Your old posts stay at your old page though, there is no easy way to export them and import elsewhere. None that I know of.

It is like that in theory, but you have to do it gradually and time your moves. If you cripple the functionality too much it'll cause a backlash, the trick is not to reach the critical mass when most would be ready to leave.Doing that to media that was originally decentralized makes it even harder, it's like messing with open source projects. Не думаю, что этот бред он пишет сам, но в его запойность я могу поверить. Уехать жить на острова его никто уже не отпустит — на людях он почти не появляется, а если делает это, выглядит так, словно его специально для этого привели в чувства. Предложили наверное ему роль дурачка — эдакий comic relief в новостях. А он и не особо против — главное чтобы от него отстали. То, что он несёт — скорее бред, чем нечто кровожадное 🤷

@feld I agree. The only thing worth disabling for performance's sake. Maybe, stopping Atimalware Service Executable (part of defender I guess) could give a barely noticeable advantage. What's wrong with UAC though? It might be annoying for some, but how does it affect performance? 🤨
