@curiousthinker But it does one thing really well β€”Β makes you feel confused that is 🀣

@curiousthinker Man, you are not going to believe what I did because I woke up early in the morning and was looking for something to entertain myself with!
I've built native Vim for ARM64 edition of Windows 11. On a phone! Damn, how did I end up here?🫠
My original intent was to set Pleroma up on my Void PowerPC box, but while stuff was building I've found this device lying around β€”Β and there I have it!
Even the transparency hack works with native DLL😊

Lol, I got into compiling software a couple years ago and it's a total redpill about what good code and just have a usable build system can do no matter what the operating system or distro is. People often gave me crap about using ubuntu because of "poor package availability", not knowing that I know how to port software and create my own packages πŸ˜†
@curiousthinker @m0xee same thing i tell people about slackware. slackbuilds are much better than arch builds

@dem I never was into Slackware and I think I've missed my train already, but xbps-src β€”Β Void's build system is really impressive IMO. Making a package for something new literally takes minutes if you know ins and outs. And cross-building is a matter of passing a parameter in most cases.
Debian's build system is hell even if it's backporting package to older Debian release. I can't imagine what it takes to write all these scripts/configs from the ground up πŸ€ͺ
@curiousthinker

@m0xee @curiousthinker honstly the simple slackbuild script is amazingly simple and powerful
@curiousthinker @m0xee i would say so lol, slackware is great as you already know
@dem @m0xee

I already have a spare partition on this ssd, I'm going to install OpenBSD on it, but my Linux install has too much important stuff to nuke for the time being, also I told you it was a weekend project and my weekends are Sun/Mon. Using OpenBSD is routine for me, I'm kinda like that Root guy on Jewtube.
@curiousthinker @m0xee ah i see, le weekend for me is fryday to satday. also you have a good way to backup your stuff its le important
