@curiousthinker But it does one thing really well βΒ makes you feel confused that is π€£
@curiousthinker Man, you are not going to believe what I did because I woke up early in the morning and was looking for something to entertain myself with!
I've built native Vim for ARM64 edition of Windows 11. On a phone! Damn, how did I end up here?π«
My original intent was to set Pleroma up on my Void PowerPC box, but while stuff was building I've found this device lying around βΒ and there I have it!
Even the transparency hack works with native DLLπ
@dem I never was into Slackware and I think I've missed my train already, but xbps-src βΒ Void's build system is really impressive IMO. Making a package for something new literally takes minutes if you know ins and outs. And cross-building is a matter of passing a parameter in most cases.
Debian's build system is hell even if it's backporting package to older Debian release. I can't imagine what it takes to write all these scripts/configs from the ground up π€ͺ
@curiousthinker
Lol, I got into compiling software a couple years ago and it's a total redpill about what good code and just have a usable build system can do no matter what the operating system or distro is. People often gave me crap about using ubuntu because of "poor package availability", not knowing that I know how to port software and create my own packages π
