TBH a couple of days ago I wanted to make a joke like this one myself about open source (social interraction), but it got so fscked up and scary that I decided not to post it. Iska managed to keep it subtle and rather tame 🤭

@Hyolobrika Did tech ever solve any social or political problem, not creating five new ones that require even more complex solutions at the same time? I do appreciate the increased rate of information exchange and tremendous bandwidth, but look where it got us. And I'm not some luddite — computers were my hobby since pre-teens, but nowadays I think whether it's a coincidence that Utopia didn't have any advanced tech, but most dystopias do, social and political problems don't have tech solutions.

@oklomsy Mine does that — it has to separate logs one for what was successfully served (access_log directive in the config) and another one for errors including files that weren't found (error_log directive in the config). I'm pretty sure there is some setting for verbosity levels of these logs, but I don't see any in my config so I think it should be reported by default in error log that some file wasn't found 🤷

@oklomsy They also have horrible functionality for data takeout. You start the archival process, but when it's done, it wants you to give them your phone number to actually download it. And it was the main reason for deleting the account in the first place — I didn't want to give them my phone number and without it I couldn't log in most of the time 🤦
In the end I just downloaded everything using fetchmail. GMail is the absolute worst 😩

I don't think it's bad, I'm afraid I might actually like it. It happened to me before with Fight Club — I didn't like it when it was released, I even hated the poster, like: "Soap? WTF is this?!"
But when second wave of its popularity happened I went with it and might have even contributed to that. It's not the worst movie, but I just can't watch it now as I know all the lines by heart 😅
