@dthompson I can definitely appreciate that. I avoid single use tools as much as possible too. If it helps, we also use ours for potatoes (and a couple of times for vegetable based pasta substitutes, but this is admittedly rare).
If hand peeling isn't too much of a chore, then less stuff is more better :)
@dthompson if speed is a concern, then getting something like this may help:
Big publishers really wish that libraries were not a thing.
@kyle if they were able to keep SourceForge limping along, there may be hope yet. Curious how deep those pockets are...
@purism nice write up! Are the sources to the blender models available anywhere?
@ckeen perhaps Davx5 for the sync to Android, then Etar for interacting.

In plain terms, they're pushing you to let them collect data on your network device. What data exactly? Well... "The information we collect varies depending on which NETGEAR product or service you use." https://www.netgear.com/about/privacy-policy/
Huh. Didn't realize how terrible the Epson refillable tank printers were. Less than 2 years in with little printing, and the dreaded Ink Pad issues have bitten friends of mine (search for that before buying one).
Amazing how they could make something that should be a great idea into a terrible one.
Thanks, Epson.
@mattl a little older, but it reminds me of the Casio JD-300
Didn't realize how involved the oil industry was in the plastic "recycling" industry.

diff.substack.com/p/working-in…@Salyer because we never realized how effective they can be, despite other countries in the world having gotten the message long ago?
Kind of like how medical doctors resisted using them for years originally, but now surgery without them would seem insane.
@jbauer prosody. Or ejabberd. Either should be fine and can have the recent XEPs all enabled so it can pass the compliance suite.
Burying the lede: "AT&T engineers are creating 'unified customer identifiers,' [AT&T CEO] Stankey said. Such technology would allow marketers to identify users across multiple devices and serve them relevant advertising." #privacy https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2020/09/att-wants-to-put-ads-on-your-smartphone-in-exchange-for-5-discount/
@hansw Jitsi works but Jami/Ring does not (despite its promise). Every attempt to use Jami ends in calls not connecting and high use of battery on mobile which leads me to uninstall. Until those issues are sorted out it's an interesting idea without a workable implementation
Ouch. Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) is selling and will no longer be a co-op. Sad to lose a long standing and prominent example of cooperative structure.

What do you think about #RadioLockdown, a directive that may prevent you to install new software on any radio equipment?

@cryptoduke @eff adding middlemen to every transaction seems to be more of the American Way
