after some migration troubles, we are back again! apologies for the downtime

Do you know CryptPad?

It’s a powerful suite of collaboration and online office tools that allows us to create, share and work with others on text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, polls, whiteboards, code editing and even Kanban boards for projects.

And the best part: it all happens in a secure and private environment. All the content of our works and files is encrypted and decrypted in the web browser therefore no one (not even the server administrators) can access the information.

You don’t need an account to use it, but if you want to explore and use all its full collaborative and social features, you can create one. No personal information is required.

If you have a Disroot account, it won’t work. You need to create a separate account for it.

How to loose the entire archive of one of the biggest newspappers and the biggest broadcasters of a country?
Have the media group that owns both concentrate all tech infrastructure for all its news and media outlets in the same cloud provider (In this case AWS), then not caring about having backups outside of said cloud infrastructure or in cold storage. Then it being hacked like this: usnews.com/news/technology/art

Wow, #fosdem2022 has a dedicated track for FOSS on mobile devices: fosdem.org/2022/schedule/track

If you are interested in #linuxphones you should check out the schedule. There's so much going on in the #linuxphone space right now. 😎

I feel like @postmarketOS or @danctnix is the future for me (still running a de-googled android right now though).

Final ant update (I hope): the ant is gone! It must have found a way out of the monitor over the weekend.

This has been live since July but I think I never "formally" announced it.

fogot to mention, these two Merge requests are still open, so they are work in progress. Please do not package them before they are merged ;)

Got to play (as in only tested, and did none of the work), with a couple merge requests in to improve VPN support in
Top bar shows a VPN padlock symbol, and the openvpn connection worked. In this case using Librem One. And Duckduckgo thinks I am in the US.
One note: this was only for adding better support for VPN in , the VPN settings panels in Control Center still need to be made adaptive. But again: “hey it is progress”. Kudos to @agx for this work!

Best take on I have seen in very long time

In this image: 3 different types of devices all running some form of #KDE #Plasma and some form of #AlpineLinux:

- the laptop, a #System76 machine, running Alpine Linux with the latest Plasma Desktop
- the TV, a #rockpro64 from #Pine64, running #postmarketOS with #PlasmaBigscreen
- the smartphone, a #Librem5, running #postmarketOS with #plasmamobile

Can't wait for my smartwatch next! 😜
