I have the same criticism for most of the recent Star Trek storylines.

The thing that made Star Trek so great was that civilizations had moved beyond violence. Violence was a last resort. Violence was what primitive beings resorted to.

I don’t like most comic book media because the stories rely on solving problems with violence. That’s a terrible message to reinforce in society. Also, lazy and trite.
