Remote companies have onsites.

In a pandemic, we need a word for this event that does not reference being away from where we typically work since we are all stuck in the same place. Must be more appealing than “a series of long meetings”.

My latest article explores why I am convinced we should be optimistic about America by looking at the data of US population trends.

The Republican party is on its deathbed and Donald Trump as is its last burp of hope.

Enjoyed an amazing dinner at a fancy restaurant for my anniversary and can now commence a week long worryfest about COVID-19.

🇺🇸 A better way of thinking about Election Day is as the *last* chance to vote.

💥 You can vote early, in person, right now in most of the US!

Republicans vote consistently. Democrats don’t and that’s when we lose.

“Whose Vote Counts” is a worthwhile miniseries by Vox on Netflix that explains the many ways American democracy is broken and practical ways to fix it.

Excellent interviews with AOC, Lessig, Stacey Abrams, John Kasich, The Governator, and more.

There always seems to be some catastrophic issue within a few months that results in needing to wipe and start fresh to best solve some issue. Desktop Linux is terrible.

Are there any Open Source alternatives for CodeClimate or Codacy?

Preferably hosted+paid, but with option to move to selfhosted (FLOSS)

I need it to handle at least Ruby and/or Rust.

A teacher in Sverige (Sweden) shared how their school’s horrible handling of caused them to quit.

Teachers and students should be permitted to wear masks if they fucking want to. Why is this so controversial… 😷

Friendly reminder on this :

Unless you’re a member of the Sherpa ethnic group, you are not any kind of “Sherpa”.

Sherpa was the name of 18 clans long before English-speaking people decided to reduce a culture to a single job.
