Once a year, I install a fresh Ubuntu in Parallels to try it out and see if I could tolerate switching to it.
There always seems to be some catastrophic issue within a few months that results in needing to wipe and start fresh to best solve some issue. Desktop Linux is terrible.
And yes, I know there probably are ways in which I could spend hours trying to figure out some obscure stupid fix instead of wiping, but that would take more time and effort.
Current issue: I have tried every suggestion I found online to enable live patch. Probably means wiping and starting over.
