I'm always on the lookout for interesting Tech, Linux, and FOSS-related podcasts. Today I ran across "How to Fix the Internet" from the EFF, a mini-series that examines solutions to issues facing the modern web.
So far, it's been very informative, even for someone who tries to stay abreast of these types of topics. I definitely recommend checking it out!

@shironeko @fribbledom I recently had a MATLAB script crash Ubuntu but windows managed it. All on the same computer. I was watching Resource Monitor on windows as the free memory percentage disappeared, but it kept enough to keep the OS going. Ubuntu, not so much. Likely, I am just not setting up my Linux environment properly, but would be nice if that were standard.
@fribbledom my Linux machine just today crashed due to its inability to handle OOM. How does windows handle it so seamlessly? Do they dynamically allocate more swap?
Friendly reminder that Command Line Heroes is a thing, it's absolutely spectacular, and is hosted by the one and only @saronyitbarek.
@raichoo I write bad code all day, and nobody is letting me get away with it. It's just unfair :)
@nixiepixel Debian, because it is so darn stable.
@eyeling these are wonderful! New desktop wallpaper!
Starting a phone call from the terminal on a #librem5 Birch. This call is to the good old "Fröken ur" speaking-clock service telling us the current time in Swedish. Fröken ur apparently existed since 1934 but it was not until 2020 that I learned how to call her from the terminal. 😃 Thanks @dos for the tip that xdg-open could be used in this way. @purism #calls #mobile #gnu #linux #freesoftware

SuperTuxKart played on a Librem 5 phone using an external keyboard and a 1080p TV. So this is this "mobile gaming" they keep talking about, huh? :D
