@schroedingersdog @silmaril @thunderbird Oki, thanks, understood. It's useful to learn how other do, to give ideas and options that can work before I do it myself. Yep, both contacts and calendars. Thanks for sharing!

@schroedingersdog @silmaril @thunderbird Maybe my question is where is your starting point: Did you start by moving your contacts to Nextcloud Contacts app, and then connect TBird to it? Or use Nextcloud to "store" your TBird sync? (I compare, I use Nextcloud for my Joplin note app to sync, where Nextcloud really only is a cloud for Joplin data, no native Nextclod app is involved). I am planning for my way back to TBird (from Apple mail).

@silmaril @schroedingersdog @thunderbird Maybe a stupid question, but do you use Nextcloud to sync the calendar and contact made by Thunderbird, or are the Nextcloud own dito tools involved?

@reality2cast @katherined @dsearls The subject this time for this nice pod somewhat surprised me. In a positive way, I enjoyed it! Technology is interesting in itself beside an enabler. But technology is not all - we are humans and we can and should think and reflect on our sides of the Reality as well. Tune in!

Measuring of data for health status with this biosensor by Rockley Photonics. I don't know but looks as maybe one step further than similar products today. Article in ElectroOptics. electrooptics.com/news/rockley

Tidying up catalogs in my outdated version of Photoshop Elements Organizer. Then I will import to Lightroom, as interim step. Lightroom can import and export better (eg xmp sidecar). The import into which I plan to use as photo catalog. That's the plan...!

Today I installed iOS 12.5.6 (released 31 Aug) on my iPhone 5s. It is a security update. But I like that Apple actually still release an important security update for this "old" device. support.apple.com/en-us/HT2134

@zaivala Can you give a 1-3-liner summary your view of Peppermint?

@reality2cast @katherined @home_assistant This is a fun, interesting and educational episode! I like the idea of keeping the automation information in my home under my control. I don't know when I will do any substantial automation or surveillance of myself, but now I get a direction for open source and privacy solution.
