I say "for now" because I'm in the middle of redoing all my web sites. (Recently took down testobsessed.com.) Eventually I'll send an update to the newsletter subscribers over there to watch my mastodon feed here for updates & will repurpose that URL.

Not sure where I'll put the existing content. Since it's of limited interest, might just store it privately. So, read while you can?

@jkpritch I'm still at the stage where I look up my Twitter list and try to find them here. But the cool thing about instances on Mastodon is that you can look up their directories, and potentially find people / threads of interest. e.g. fediscience.org/explore

I'd like to hear what people want out of #ScienceMastodon

To me, the best bit of Twitter has been learning and chatting about cool science; and hearing what my colleagues are up to. At it's best it's the poster session at a conference

But instead the algorithm gives you this toxic--but highly addictive--sludge

So I'd love to recreate the best bits of that here--I'd love to be able to come here and consistently learn from interesting people (and keep the existential doom elsewhere)

Twitter c'est la majorité du traffic vers ma boutique en ligne, c'est une audience potentielle de 27.000 personne qui risque de s'évaporer si ça capote, deux ans d'effort pour m'assurer que mon travail me permette de vivre. Et tout ça, ça peut voler en éclats à cause d'un milliardaire capricieux.

Je ne sais sincèrement pas si j'arriverai à compenser, et si je devrais abandonner mon travail d'artisan d'art. Je viens pas des écoles, j'ai pas d'autre réseau. On est pas mal d'artistes à flipper.
