@diesch @personenkult Ich persönlich finde zwar den Shitstorm etwas überzogen, dennoch beweist er: Das Fediverse ist stark und reagiert auf Hass, Streit und andere unerwünschte Dinge. Jeder, egal wie groß oder mächtig hat sich an die Regeln zu halten und niemand kann sich "freikaufen", weil man groß und wichtig ist.

Der #Korruption|sskandal im #EU-Parlament sorgt zu Recht für Empörung. Er beschädigt Integrität und Vertrauen. Die #EU muss sofort reagieren. Nicht nur mit einer Suspendierung von #Kaili und Aufklärung.
Wir brauchen deutlich strengere Regeln, um die illegitime Einflussnahme autoritärer Regierungen wie in #Katar zu verhindern. Dazu muss das #EU-#Lobbyregister verbessert, Sanktionen und Kontrolle gestärkt werden.
Zudem fehlt ein unabhängiges Ethik-Gremium, dass für die Integrität der EU-Institutionen sorgt. Das Parlament hat dazu Vorschläge gemacht, die EU-Kommission muss sie nun endlich aufgreifen.
Die #Ampel sollte endlich den Skandal zum Anlass nehmen, das deutsche Strafgesetz gegen Abgeordneten-#Korruption zu verschärfen, das auch für deutsche EU-Abgeordnete gilt.
Die #EU muss anerkennen, dass auch sie nicht vor #Korruption gefeit ist. Dafür brauchen wir strenge Regeln, die mit scharfen Sanktionen und unabhängigen Kontrollen durchgesetzt werden können. The time is now!

@jacob @fsf There is dedicated #OpenHardware, like the MNT reform or the Talos II Computers. There is also new hardware like the #Librem devices that can run Free Operating Systems.
By the way: The "plain" Linux Kernel is not entirely Free Software and has also some blobs. Completely free operating systems have the #LinuxLibre Kernel that got rid of these blobs.
But you are right, there is indeed very little hardware that can run entirely free software.

@BrentToderian That's why I like #PublicTransport, especially if the ticket system is plain and simple like the #9EuroTicket in Germany or the #KlimaTicket in Austria. This is true freedom (however, cars are often more comfy).
@kaimeinke I made a mistake, I meant #GNUTaler. I am sorry. These guys from the GNU project just make too many things.
But that is a system for microtransactions that offers complete privacy for the person paying, but stores the information of the person receiving the money, so tax fraud is difficult with that system. The system could become the basis for a digital currency.
#GNUCash is just an accounting software that can do a lot of fancy stuff.
