@wwklnd @jzp@mastodon.jzp.se det jag lyckas hitta är att "meiyan" som i funktionen FNV1A_Hash_Meiyan verkar vara en variant av "FNV-1a". FNV-1a finns beskriven här:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-eastlake-fnv-17.html

In English: "Chatcontrol is madness – that Sweden supports the mass surveillance is a scandal"
@ordbajsarn denna variant kallas även "Fully Automated Luxury Communism" 🙂

@bonifartius Yes!
@dn tack till Göteborg, det känns som en ljusglimt i denna annars så vansinniga värld.
I was at a ChopChop restaurant earlier this evening. One of their big screens that normally show order numbers and such things instead showed this, revealing that the restaurant uses Raspberry Pi 4 Model B for that.
For some reason seeing that made me happy, I got a feeling that there is hope, or something. 🙂
@gnome is there any other way of watching that video, something that is not youtube (Google)?
Why not use a #FreeSoftware solution such as #PeerTube that would allow you to be free from Google?
(I would generally recommend GNOME to avoid Google, doing so would help GNOME show that you are serious about protecting people's privacy.)
@fsfe for me, those words mean pretty much exactly the same thing as #FreeSoftware 🙂
Do we have t-shirts / hoodies to show that we want to #StopChatcontrol? Any help appreciated #chatcontol fighters?
@polhosc strålande!
Välkommen hit 🙂
@samuel tack själv, bra fixat ⭐
Just prepared this sign to bring to the demonstration against #ChatControl that starts at 18:00 tonight at Mynttorget in Stockholm.

Nu är banderollen klar till morgondagens demo mot massövervakningen. Med så snygg banderoll måste vi ju vinna den här fajten :)
Kom på demon i morgon!

@aphistic I found these about UK and US:
"Cashless society draws closer with only one in six payments now in cash": https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/jun/16/cashless-society-draws-closer-with-only-one-in-six-payments-now-in-cash
"Americans Using Cash Less Often; Foresee Cashless Society": https://news.gallup.com/poll/397718/americans-using-cash-less-often-foresee-cashless-society.aspx
Everything gets more scary if we think about China where the government is likely to soon force use of a state-controlled digital currency connected to some "social credit" system. An efficient way for the state to control people, tracking suspicious purchases etc.
@aphistic oh but cash is already starting to get harder to use.
Where I live (Sweden) there are now often situations where cash is not accepted, instead everyone is expected to use a digital payment system called "Swish" which is managed by the big banks, requiring use of their digital ID for each payment. Here, if you don't use "Swish" then you are an outsider, hard to participate in society.
It's like that now, and getting worse. Cash is increasingly seen as something used only by criminals.
> Aren’t all people involved in
> “crypto“ at this point just
> scammers and grifters?
No, I don't think so, although it can be tempting to assume that because there are certainly many scams.
The topic of how to handle private digital payments is an important one, especially as we approach a future where traditional cash will no longer be available.
I recommend the #MoneroTalk podcast, lots of interesting interviews there: https://www.monerotalk.live/
