@davidnjoku what is "twitter" place you are going on about and why are you assuming everyone comes from there?
@redstarfish Good job! 🙂
@aral This is part of why I'm more afraid of Google than other tech giants, it's the creepy way they have of doing "open" and "free" things making everyone dependent on them, everyone using things they control without even thinking about it.
I like being independent. I like being able to do something on my own, something I decide to do, without anyone else needing to know about it.
@martijnbraam very cool 👍

Please stop the proposal on mass surveillance of the EU, the proposal called "chat control 2".
It is a really, really, very, very, bad idea.

Please think about what you are doing, you are causing a lot of damage to our free societies by proposing something like this. Please stop and think.
@smlx4 Tack!

For EU supporters it is even more important to stop this. And if we are to believe in EU as some kind of a democratic body it must be possible to stop it.
People outside of the EU may laugh at this, they may find it funny that EU countries are making fools out of themselves. But for us within the EU, this is very serious.
Infringing on fundamental rights like this is would be a reason to leave the EU. I want to live in a free society respecting human rights.
@sindarina I remember the Commodore 64. That was 64 KB.

I don't know much about this stuff but when you mention that you don't run modified kernels, I think there may be a misunderstanding here about what the "Secure boot" thing is doing. As I understand it, it's about firmware. The kernel is not firmware, so "Secure boot" will not care about which kernel you use.
From a FOSS perspective, the big problem is if the firmware is proprietary, which is very often the case. We should have FOSS firmware that we can control.
@z3ntu Oh, that great to hear. So much good stuff! I really have to try to get there in person next year 🙂
About your talk, if you were to guess if/when mainline support for Fairphone 4 will be good enough to run for example Mobian, do you think that will happen? If so, how long in the future?
@z3ntu Thanks, interesting stuff!
Do you know if recordings from all the other talks talks are to be published as well, or is it only some of them?
