Every child in Europe must be protected and respected online.

We are at work to deliver on this commitment and make them informed digital citizens.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Safer Internet Day, we released two child-friendly booklets and a web game to introduce them to the Digital Rights and Principles Declaration and the Better Internet for Kids Strategy.

As digital natives, they deserve to know their rights and enjoy a safer Internet.

@EU_Commission

Please stop the proposal on mass surveillance of the EU, the proposal called "chat control 2".

It is a really, really, very, very, bad idea.

Please think about what you are doing, you are causing a lot of damage to our free societies by proposing something like this. Please stop and think.

@eliasr @EU_Commission Seconding the request to immediately block "Chat Control 2." Encryption and systems without back doors are vital for "the good guys" for digital security, and privacy is a basic human right that should not be able to be exploited because of the wrongdoing of a few. This law would go against both of those basic concepts.

@eliasr @EU_Commission Agreed. The proposal does not prevent the crimes.

What's necessary is better prevention, education and facilities to give care, both to victims and potential perpetrators.
