With things like that happening, are you at the same time still having trouble getting funding?
I imagine the EU has a decent budget for cybersecurity stuff, so if they rely on matrix for important things it seems reasonable for them to help out with some funding. Are they helping out, or are they like so many others just expecting to use something free while expecting others to carry the cost?

@johan_m_o jag tror det menas "nedsippringsteorin", alltså ju mer man gynnar miljardärerna desto bättre för fattigt folk, för miljardärerna är de som driver allting och skapar det välstånd som sedan sipprar ner till de fattiga, så att de inte behöver vara fattiga längre. What I hate the most about the leftist side of the fedi, especially the EU types is the extreme anti-American sentiment, and I'm not talking about hatred for America as a country or the American government. I'm talking about hatred for American people in general.
They just assume that just because we live here that we support all American policy. They think that we automatically support the Israeli invasion of Gaza (despite the fact that even most US republicans are less supportive of Israel) or whatever human-rights violation the US government is participating. Or if you are not indigenous, then they shit on you just for being born on stolen land.

It should be obvious that voting doesn't work here anymore (or maybe it never did). And even if it did, that doesn't mean that we support everything the government does.
You can hate on America all you want, but please don't hate on the people.
