@EUCommission Teaching people about investing and redirecting more investments back into Europe are definitely good.
The framing of your post makes the good think look bad though. People who are broke can't invest by definition. If someone has discretionary income they can afford to risk, they are not broke. Please get some young people to screen your posts beforehand.
@newbyte @Svenlaa @EUCommission 60% of 16% is 9.6%
@noelreports By this logic, Hungary is “not fully independent” because of its reliance on Russian fossil fuels.
@EUCommission That's great! Hopefully more countries will join.
The tide has turned for our ocean.
With 60 ratifications, the High Seas Treaty will enter into force in early 2026.
It enables vast marine protected areas, sustainability, and fairness so no country is left behind.
Together with EU nations, we led a coalition of over 40 countries to make this happen.
Now we call on more countries to come on board.
Protecting the ocean is urgent and essential for us, our planet, and future generations.

Jeśli zmienione w ostatniej chwili przepisy wejdą w życie, to lista CERT Polska, zamiast chronić internautów przed oszustami, będzie chronić przed... nielegalnymi transmisjami meczów online.
@FrankieBeast @EUCommission "European lingua franca" is literally French, but I know what you mean. ;)
I gotta learn Esperanto some day.
@noelreports Oh, PAC-2. I was hoping for PAC-3.

@EUCommission Tackling cyberbullying is important. Just please don't try to solve problems old as humanity with Orwellian technological solutions.
@pantaRhei @EUCommission Such "prohibiting" would only stop people who are technologically illiterate.
Obywatelu, załóż fejsbuka.
Polskie organy administracji samorządowej piszą TYLKO tam.
Inaczej nie dowiesz się, że trwają testy syren alarmowych.
IMO chore. Na stronie urzędu do tej pory nic...
@EUCommission EU definitely needs new markets to export to. I'm just concerned about "stronger intellectual property protection". The article only mentions trademarks and anti-counterfeiting protections, which is good. However this sort of language is often used as an euphemism for making copyright and patent laws worse.
BTW if someone is wondering what do we import, article mentions raw materials, plants, and regional food. Some agricultural imports will be banned, some will have quotas.
@itsfoss I instantly thought of Librem 5, but its kill switch setup is slightly different:
- Cellular Modem
- Wireless & Bluetooth
- Camera & Microphone
@noelreports Is it because those countries will hand over ships to Ukraine?
@noelreports It makes tourniquets obsolete.
@noelreports They had plenty of time, which they wasted. There are reliable alternatives. Even when excluding renewables, you can still get fossil fuels from countries other than Russia. I don't know why they are so stubborn on being Russian footrests.
@EDPS @Supervisor I'm glad that you are trying to limit the damage, but it would be better not to share this data in the first place. If US requires this for visa waiver, it's their problem. They can get even less tourists if they want.
@zbrando @EUCommission Common army won't happen anytime soon. There are plenty of issues that would need to be fixed first, like the unanimity you mentioned.
We could at least standardise more stuff. Right now our armoured vehicles use plenty of incompatible radios, so they can talk to their commands, but not to each other. Our rocket artillery should use standardised containers; those standard containers could even be used also for air defence and anti-ship missiles. And so on...
