@itsfoss Yet another lesson why proprietary services are to be avoided. I hope more people will learn this lesson and move to free software alternatives like PeerTube.
@SomeAnoTooter @itsfoss From the article: Ente has an optional cloud backup (+ compatible desktop apps) and an ability to peek the next code. It's optionally offline, while Aegis is always offline.
@noelreports It's not the first time I see Russian AA missiles failing to detonate when passing near drones. Are their fuses not suitable against drones? Do the drones employ some countermeasures to confuse the missiles?
@johas @fsfe I wouldn't define it; it's the first time I hear this term. Taken literally, it would mean proprietary software that claims to be open source, but I have never heard of such a thing (other than people forgetting to include a LICENSE file on GitHub in small new projects, but a bug report solves it).
Overall, the claim that "OpenWashing has become a growing issue in the Free Software community" seems to be really silly because no definition I can think of can make this claim true.
@itsfoss Gedit for simple GUI editing, Neovim for everything else.
@roberams @noelreports Training. Recently there was news about 10 pilots graduating from main training and going into advanced training. So those ten aren't even finished, let alone other pilots, support crews and possibly commanders.
I suspect that there are also some infrastructural investments Ukraine has to do before receiving the planes.
@noelreports So far, even Poland - a NATO and EU member bordering with Russia - doesn't have any nuclear sharing deals, so talks about Ukraine getting one soon and actually using it offensively are extremely silly.
A critique of Cara.app: the 'No AI' Instagram and Artstation copycat child.

@Jos_B @noelreports Ukraine is being flooded with armed "immigrants" from Russia.
@VikingChieftain @noelreports Glorious!
@itsfoss I want to finally see accurate, multi-language voice typing that has zero setup other than installing a single package (or preferably, out of the box).
And I want to see an assistant like Siri/Alexa/Cortana that works locally on-device.
@noelreports It's stated at 16:45. From what I understand, Poland did not change its mind. It simply never had any restrictions on use of Polish weapons.
@CyberpunkLibrarian Were they really hackers? Did they specifically target the library?
I would suspect the culprits are criminals who didn't create the ransomware tool, but merely bought it and they are using it indiscriminately. The library simply happened to get infected. Maybe someone opened an attachment from a phishing email or visited an infected website using a vulnerable web browser?
@Greengordon @noelreports My guess is that they will be handed over to Ukraine after war ends.
@noelreports From what I understand, on paper S-400 should be able to shoot down short and medium range ballistic missiles.
I bet Turkey is reconsidering its choices right now.
