@eff @legind but are there (relevant, usable) statistics on how many/what devices this actually works? As long as there is an exploit, this might be possible, but given the insane costs of exploits for mobile devices, I somehow distrust the capabilities of these tools (on patched devices).

@brahms @eff @legind There are a lot of devices that don't get updated and a lot of devices that only get the bare minimum of security patches. Most devices are unable to resist an adversary with physical access.
