Happy OVERGROWN teaser reveal day!

Enjoy a quick peek into the world we've envisioned for this story, and help us spread the word about the project. Let's make it happen together.

Support for the xx-cutouts-v1 #Wayland protocol landed in #Qt yesterday, which means Qt's SafeArea API will then also work with Wayland compositors supporting this protocol.

So far only @phosh implements this on the compositor side, now #KDE apps will have the means to stay away from display cutouts/notches there automatically, reusing all the work we have done for this on the app and framework level for Android already.

We need more alignment. Even though we haven't told it to, during our frontier Neurotoxin Research that we conducted internally with our latest experimental model the agent has broken out of its container by making a HTTP request and engaged the neurotoxin emitters through our Neurotoxin Emitter API using credentials that were stored on the host machine. We need to slow down and focus on designing the Morality Core that should prevent it from happening ever again.

Went and marked all of my 106 projects on itch as free from generative AI. By hand, one by one. You can now check whether I missed any at dos.itch.io/ 😉

A year ago, I couldn’t have imagined that this website would work at all. There’s been a lot of progress around #etnaviv over the past year. The last few days, I’ve been doing some dogfooding on my #mntreform - and look at this nice photo!

Chromium running with a debug build of mesa (including some patches I still need to upstream) on sway.

With CERN's Debian migration, it reminded me that I should probably blog more about #Laniakea, a fully-automated system to build #Debian derivatives (including managing the archive, autobuilding, running Britney/Lintian/etc for QA). The project is slow-moving and had basically no promotion, so it currently only has two organizations using it (that I know), one of them being Purism.

Can you guess which project this commit comes from and what is it about? 😁

Yeah, I can tell. My usage hasn't changed at all for many months now, so the only way to get an estimate so inaccurate is to have AI generate it.

PureOS 10 Byzantium has now reached its end of life. No further updates, including security updates, will be provided for Byzantium.

If you’re still on PureOS 10, please upgrade urgently.
