After the report about the Girl Scout mom getting booted from Radio City Music Hall, I spent the last two days reporting out the use of facial recognition technology by the Madison Square Garden empire to keep hundreds of lawyers that work for firms that have sued it from attending concerts, sporting events and shows. @dch my wife and I are wearing masks, we are visiting family in the UK and no one is wearing mask. Even if they are sick! Walking around London and Brighton I have seen only 20 people wear a mask and one of them was visibly sick. In Perth Australia 10% wore masks and I didn't see sick people not wearing a mask.
@Snoro Fusion has crossed the first zero point. Overall it still took orders of magnitude more energy to achieve this milestone. The true zero point is if it can run its own plant, including the kitchen. Then to be abundant and affordable (same wishes as fission) it needs to be 1000 or 1000000 times more energy. It's a very long road to have the first 5 plants operational. Until then we need to solve climate change.
@blindscribe @samwilson uses Flickr and if I remember they are looking at adding ActivityPub. I don't know how accessible their UI is or how much they cost.

Are folks really pressuring independent artists, authors, etc., not to promote their work here?
Do you also picket your local independent cafe and mom and pop stores? What happens if you succeed in shutting them down? That’s right, you end up with a McDonald’s in their place.
Please learn to separate capitalists from folks trying to survive under capitalism. Independent people trying to pay their rent isn’t advertising, it’s existing. What Coca-Cola does is advertising.

Feel free to boost this poll, but I'm wondering how many people do where they respond to a notification by using win+shift+V on the PC or holding on it on the phone, and taking action on it that way, is this more just a thing that sighted people do? Most of my friends don't do this but I hear a lot of people on YouTube doing this.
