I think the article is misleading.
If you hang out in a PP community chat, and trust a random user to run their binary as root, you are an advanced user but don't act like one.

The question about ensuring trust is therefore not directly related.
However, there are efforts and solutions. Debian / PureOS work on reproducible builds, so it's verifiable that source and package match. In addition, @purism wants curated community apps.
But when you leave the safe space, you're on your own

My Android phone is turned off, but for now, I am keeping it with me in case I need it (or perhaps more acccurately, it calms my nerve in case something goes badly).

I actually debating about using my #librem5 as my main phone, but to be honest, the only reason I did not was because my Pinephone has everything set up already. But when I get more time, I think I will try it full time.

What I noticed recently is that there seems to be a wide range of alternative browsers, from well-known to barely known. I'd like to see a list/inventory/comparison of these. Some of them might merge, some might collaborate in some areas (re-use components) etc.
Choice is good, but spreading too thinly isn't.
Then, applying for public funding would be the next step.

My problem is rather that the management at Mozilla sees itself as just another Silicon Valley company. (Somebody wrote something to that effect recently. Maybe @aral ?)
Changing the funding might not suddenly change the mindset.

"Wir" sind der gemeinnützigen Verein "OSOS Austria", der sich 2020 aus Informatik LehrerInnen bzw. IT-ManagerInnen aus dem Bildungswesen konstituiert hat.

vor allem aber vielleicht:
- 50% der 12-17 sind inzwischen geimpft, das wurde evtl nicht berücksichtigt
Vermutlich gibt's aber auch weniger offensichtliche Faktoren

Da kann ich abhelfen. Erste Amtshandlung Lauterbach: Inventur.
Du kannst ihm nicht vorwerfen, dass Spahn seine tolle Absicht nicht umgesetzt hat.
Spahn fiel ja auch vor ein paar Tagen ein, als keine Gefahr mehr bestand was tun zu müssen, dass Pflegekräfte doppelt so viel verdienen sollten.
