OMG, hab kurz Breitbart Fangirl gelesen 😱 😂
Welcome, new Threema users! Due to the #WhatsAppPolicy controversy, our downloads are skyrocketing. 🚀
Remember, if you’re not paying for a service, you’re the product, not the customer. #RegainPrivacyNow: https://threema.ch/download
@fitheach
Usually you can resume a failed download in the download window. (If you click the link again, it's a new download)
But servers might not support partial downloads. (In this case, I'm not sure whether wget helps much)
Just some screenshots of Youplay a Youtube music player running on the Pinephone.

Note: Youplay is a Youtube music player made with GTK and Python. It doesn't look that good in my opinion but works really well. (just a little slow at times)
Building huge networks with decentralized control means you get new features slower, and sometimes rollouts are messier, but to adopt anything else is to abandon the very freedom that allowed the internet to become what it is today, instead of all being owned by someone like AOL.

Und jetzt noch:

I think your low numbers are too high, both for hardware and subscription.
I pay less than 10 bucks for mobile Internet. Yet, somehow, the search engines and all the ad-loaded pages (plus all the hundreds of layers of ad maf... industry) make a living from eating my bandwidth.
It should be 1€. 3 max.

App privacy labels show stark contrasts among messaging apps https://9to5mac.com/2021/01/04/app-privacy-labels-messaging-apps/
TL;DR:
Signal - perfect!
iMessage - very good (and defensible).
WhatsApp - huh, that's starting to seem a little sus.
Facebook Messenger: oh hell no.
App Showcase: Weather
"The Librem 5 is designed to protect your privacy, and include a privacy-respecting Weather app. When opened this retrieves weather data from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, and only them."
