I view it as a valid experiment. On Twitter, algorithms spread outrage, motivating some to create outrage. On Librem Social (no timeline), I don't even see any of that, as I don't follow lunatics. I think Purism deserves a chance to show how that works in the long run.

Absolutely true. However, if a company is inherently flawed (like all the companies we happily buy food and clothes from, made by exploiting people), it is legitimate to boycott them. (But do we?)

But this is different. Purism just does not want to do the job that law enforcement should do.
At least those who have been silenced on big platforms for *unjust* reasons without power of recourse, will sympathize with Purism here.

Anyway, I think you'd need one catchy term like
Freedom Sunshine Fundraiser (FSF),
and paint it differently each quarter:
"The longest night ahead (northern hemisphere at least), the pockets of some projects are just as dim. While shopping for Xmas, think of them"
"Today, night and day are equal. Let's help those projects "in the dark" get equal funding."
"Rise and shine!" ...

I like the idea. I think the main problems are visibility and simplicity (to donate).
I'd love to see donation buttons to important (and invisible) projects in @purism 's PureStore, in addition to a pay-what-you-want model for the apps. Creates visibility and simplicity 😀

Day-Night-Equality, Summer-Sun-Turn, Winter-Sun-Turn.

It's funny that you consider these Latin terms native English 😜

Well, let me guess... you read that "somewhere", but not on an official page. The topic is easily (needlessly) polarizing, but Purism has good reasoning IMO that does not fit in a toot 😉
