@kyle very cool! I know nothing about weaving on a look. Looks interesting

Time to board my flight back to the US. Had a wonderful time in The Netherlands, even with the unfortunate circumstances of the pandemic showing up shortly after I arrived.

@kyle hah welcome to the fiber world. Get yourself a winder and a swift. You will not regret it.

Last night in Delft. House is clean. Bags are packed. There are certainly worse places to find yourself during a pandemic. I’ll surely return.

@Gina meanwhile in Delft it’s a typical misty cold misery. Enjoy the sun!

@purism what’s the preferred way to stay up to date with EC ISO releases?

Done with my last week of work in NL. Next week I pack it all up and move back to Texas.

@Gina I have gone to the office every single day this week. Reminded me just how much I hate going to an office. I’ve been primarily remote for six years so even pre-pandemic a full week of daily office visits was not a thing for me.

@kyle gotta build the wall. We’re just another brick in it after all.

@silwol very cool! Hoping to get mine in the not too distant future. More interested in using it as a portable PC than a phone though.

Pick a random consumer device lying around your house and imagine someone coming across it after 70 years of neglect. Part of the device no longer works. Would they be able to fix it? puri.sm/posts/beyond-right-to-

@Gina 🫂 dank je wel.

PS I returned to a broken furnace fml

Getting close to boarding time for my flight back to .nl so I can pack up and move back to .us

@Gina nope, not COVID related. Age and cancer. Neither will get well, that’s why I came home so close to when I’m supposed to move back. To make sure I got to say goodbye.

@Gina I thought so. Seems very un-Dutch to ignore bread or cheese!

The trip home has been pretty rough. I’ve seen some friends so that’s nice, but my grandparents are not doing well :/

@Gina are you even allowed to ignore tasty bread in NL?

If you were wondering how to get the Bluetooth to work on your Librem 14 it's pretty simple - just install the non-free firmware-atheros from Debian Bullseye. If you're not sure how to do that:

@kyle Super cool! I also saw on the Matrix blog recently that there's some work being done on an Matrix-SIP bridge too.
