@trianderror @Gina Nothing surprises me anymore, but I’m sure if I said nobody would ever invite a mosquito I’ll get #cancelled for #kinkshaming mosquito aficionados or something. Probably on a #haters list for saying I kill the blood suckers.
@Gina three nights in a row we’ve had an uninvited mosquito guest. I am not amused as it falls to me to get up and Eliminate The Pest.
@Gina only €4 that’s a bargain in Delft!
More on the sailing
Update your Rust version if using crates that use std::net - which includes my own A Rust Site Engine.
@Gina the presence of, and responsibility for, another’s tiny human can in fact be the most effective form of birth control. Of course it can also change one from Team #nope to Team #neeeeeed.
I’ve pretty much continuously been surrounded by children for whom I was somewhat responsible since about 1989. They’re all still alive. You’ll be fine.
@Gina I thought I felt some fluctuations in my 5G ;)
@kyle 😂
@kyle as a relative newcomer to (professionally) working in this space almost all of what I do is ultimately security focused. For the systems under my direct responsibility stability and scale are solved problems. Restarting happens when there’s a CVE patch to apply, and that’s pretty much it!
@kyle opened an issue, and have my attempt at a solution in a fork.
@kyle oh I know it
@kyle is it weird that I read "palm pilot" and immediately thought of the PDA from eons ago?
@kyle yeah the numpad is way less important than the rest. It’s not even a feature I’d use just like things to work. Maybe I’ll take a look and see if I can patch it myself.
@kyle cool. None of the “numpad” stuff works either on mine. Related or?
I like to work with my hands. That may mean hammering out solutions to complex problems in #Python or #Rust, building things in my shop, or spinning yarn to knit something warm. You’ll likely see some of all of that here. By day (and sometimes night) I keep >13k nodes and services alive in the Electric Vehicle sector.
