Getting close to boarding time for my flight back to .nl so I can pack up and move back to .us

@Gina nope, not COVID related. Age and cancer. Neither will get well, that’s why I came home so close to when I’m supposed to move back. To make sure I got to say goodbye.

@Gina I thought so. Seems very un-Dutch to ignore bread or cheese!

The trip home has been pretty rough. I’ve seen some friends so that’s nice, but my grandparents are not doing well :/

@Gina are you even allowed to ignore tasty bread in NL?

If you were wondering how to get the Bluetooth to work on your Librem 14 it's pretty simple - just install the non-free firmware-atheros from Debian Bullseye. If you're not sure how to do that:

@kyle Super cool! I also saw on the Matrix blog recently that there's some work being done on an Matrix-SIP bridge too.

@Gina it was a nice empty flight. Be back next weekend, and then move home a few weeks later.

@Gina it was 9 and raining when we left AMS for emergency leave. 32 and sunny when we landed at IAH. Dutch weather fits the mood better.

With Spaces in both Synapse and Element now, I've created one for my various projects to hold rooms for support in each one.

To that end, I've also started posting in each of these rooms when I update my various projects and am likely to discontinue doing so here.

@kyle @Konqi even on modern calculators just about everyone expects algebraic notation, so if I give someone my HP there is a near zero percent chance they can even add 2 + 2 since it uses RPN. The flipside of this coin is of course that after heavily using RPN for years I can barely use a regular calculator myself.

The root cause of this failwhale is truly impressive. I deal with a lot of surprises on a regular basis, but social security numbers in html attributes may take the cake since I’m going to go ahead and guess those are the plaintext sort keys in the backend.
