Turns out you on a #Librem5 you can install android in a container and it runs at native speed. The android window shows as an app, so I can just use an android app if I find a native version lacking, neat!

@thelinuxEXP @jorge @frigidcode carbonOS, GNOME OS, Endless OS, ChromeOS, and Android are immutable, atomic, and fully image-based.
I don't think Vanilla, Silverblue, Ublue, etc are immutable. They are atomic, and they're a hybrid between image- and package-based.
MicroOS would just be atomic.
NixOS is its own beast. It's atomic. I don't really see it as immutable or image-based
IMO, it's hard to find some term to lump all these distros together. They all do very different things...
When I joined #Mastodon less than 8 months ago, I did not think I would become attached to it so fast — finding readers & teachers & a community I’m proud to be part of.
Thank you, #Fediverse for all your support & may we continue to grow together 🙏🏼✨

@Cfkschaller There seems to be a lot of changes happening within the Desktop (or is it now Display Systems) team at Red Hat. I hope you will be able to find the time to post about the new direction in a blog. Thank you!
