@jimsalter I am curious why you don't recommend it? I have one. Yes, it is a bit rough around the edges, but it works. As long as they continue to enhance the software side, it should be competitive with time.
@rmader This is amazing! Thank you!
@frog Congratulations! It couldn't have happened without your amazing work.
In tears watching this...

@francois I know you may not be able to answer, but it can't hurt to ask. Has the Librem 5 been able to meet sales expectations now that it is back in stock?

@savanni Purism's Librem 11 shows that you can run Linux well on a tablet.
Boss: Why haven't you done any of the work I gave you?
Me: What work?
Boss: From my emails!
Me: Oh, I deleted those.
Boss: WHAT?!
Me: I thought they were phishing attempts.
Boss: Why?
Me: The IT security training said typos and unexpected requests were clues to spot phishing.

Yesterday I boosted someone else's announcement of my post on the new GNOME accessibility blog, but apparently some folks couldn't find the link in that toot, so here it is again: https://blogs.gnome.org/a11y/2023/10/27/a-new-accessibility-architecture-for-modern-free-desktops/
Also wanted to add: I'm glad to be getting back to work on accessibility on desktop Linux, after ~20 years away. Hopefully with the experience I've gained in the meantime, my efforts now will be more effective.
Hey any journalists on here plz turn your public post indexing on, because most of you haven't and thats why people looking for public information cant find you.
Go to settings > public profile > privacy and reach, select "include public posts in search results"
Not all the fedi wants to be a public space, and thats fine, but some parts should be right now.
@DrALJONES I am so glad I am not the only one that realized this. The EDM concert was also called the "Peace" concert if I recall correctly. It is hard to believe that this was all a coincidence.
@mirkobrombin There is also the Librem 5 if you want a Freedesktop Linux phone. Although Mobile Linux is still young, it has seen a lot of improvements over the past few years.
@EgyptianAphorist Masha'Allah, this painting and hadith really impacts me deep.
@gfxstrand This is one of the presentations I am most looking forward to 😀. I can't wait.
Apple Goes a Step Too Far in Claiming a Carbon Neutral Product, a New Report Concludes.
The maker of the iPhone is a leader in efforts to reduce the climate impact of its products, but a recent claim about its new line of Apple Watches may be “climate-wash,” a Chinese environmental research organization says.
