How would you apply this to cybersecurity?

Looking for #infosec security #podcasts. Haven’t explored that space much. I’m a long time listener of #TWiT Security Now with Steve Gibson. That one I like a lot. Is there something similar?
(Just one thing: I’m over sensitive when it comes to bad audio quality. )

#SecureDrop uses a custom grsecurity-patched kernel for some extra security. Until very recently, every time we wanted/needed to update to a new kernel, it required a full SecureDrop release, going through the whole QA, etc. process.

In September we detached this process, and today we released our first kernel packages independently from a SecureDrop release!

This account exists to gauge interest in GrapheneOS having a presence on Mastodon. If this account gets a substantial number of followers, we'll host our own instance. Followers of this account will be automatically migrated to the new account on our own instance. It's likely we'll end up going ahead with this but we can't justify setting up another server until there are thousands of followers here. You can convince us to do this sooner rather than later by following this account.

this email thing is neat and all but ordinary users just wont get it. Try explaining to them that its not a website but its actually a protocol, and you have to choose from one of millions of different email servers, and then there are different email clients on different platforms. It will never catch on!

On an algorithmic platform, the more attention a post gets, the more it’s likely to reach other folks. That’s not true here! But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t favorite posts! Here’s a good way to think about it

Favorite - “I liked this post! Thanks for sharing it!” Hit that star to let the creator know you enjoyed the topic, are digging the conversation, or just think they’re neat! This is super low impact and low effort, and has no consequences, but is a nice way to thank the person who wrote the thing!

Boost - “More folks should see this!” Boosting a post puts it onto the Home Timelines of folks who follow you. This is really powerful here because it is the only way to get content seen on instances that don’t already federate with the source. Here on the fediverse, we are the collective curators and surfacers, so use Boosts liberally for things you enjoyed, things that folks need to hear, and to help folks who need visibility and support #fediTips
