@nathandyer I thought this project was dead. I am glad to see it is actively maintained. I'll be looking forward to the new release. π
@Suzie97@mastodon.social Wouldn't that be difficult to implement though, especially at the size and scale of the App Store? I think the developers are the one who should be held responsible in these kind of scenarios.
However, I do also think that Apple should 'make it easier' for developers to be transparent about what works and what doesn't on the store page.
"Skimming news reports, some optimists may think theyβll soon be able to send their existing Kobo, Apple, or Nook books to Kindles since those other brands use ePub. But #DRM in many cases will still get in the way..." Read the full article: https://u.fsf.org/3m1 from @Teleread

@nitrokey That can't be, though. I tried with other homeservers (matrix.org) and it worked without an issue.
FYI, I use uBlock Origin and NoScript. (I have to set "recaptcha.net" as 'allowed' for NoScript.)
@nitrokey π€ I think I may have been misunderstood. I was talking about https://app.nitro.chat.
@nitrokey Thanks! That worked. π
Wouldn't it be better to set it as the default, though?
@nitrokey I can't seem to get past this while trying to sign up for NitroChat. I don't know why. π π€
@thelinuxEXP I respectfully disagree. Yes, there are a lot of superhero movies that are just are no different from about a 100 other ones. However, there are a few gems too. I am especially a fan of the recent 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'.
@RachaelAva1024 π€ I don't think that's a fair assessment. It's true that WhatsApp does leave a lot of room for doubt, especially with its conflicting business model, but the encryption protocol they use has been vetted by Signal and is still recommended by EFF.
While #Signal, #Session and #Matrix are definitely way better options, #WhatsApp is still a better option than using plain #SMS. Having some security is better than none at all.
I have to say that I am a little disappointed with #LibremOne. It was once supposed to be a unified ecosystem of privacy-oriented services but now I feel it has fallen into obscurity and a general lack of maintenance.
Although it has been my gateway into the #Fediverse and #Matrix, I think it's now time for me to move on. I really hope @purism would be able to sort out the issues with this service because I honestly think it's a brilliant idea.
Sorry, Tux. Never met a cheese I didn't like, but I can't say the same for Linux distros π

Thanks to @gamingonlinux, I was able to switch to a self-hosted setup as my backup solution. #Syncthing is really amazing.
@Cheeseness I know right! I was also hoping that people being able to see that very thing would make an impact. It is quite disappointing indeed. Not to mention, the dumping of masks has created an even bigger issue now.
