@Cheeseness It's not all bad news, though, as I heard some countries are switching to renewable energy sources in order to stop depending on Russian oil. ๐Ÿ˜„

I really hope this war ends, though. Every second it drags on is another 'giant leap' towards destroying our world in more ways than one. โ˜ฎ๏ธ ๐ŸŒณ

@Cheeseness I agree, but convincing everyone to do that is much difficult. Even trying to do that on a much smaller scale is extremely difficult and cumbersome. Taking dramatic action 'right now' is not really practical because of it.

It would take a serious shift in mentality to actually make any impactful change. Although we are beginning to see signs of it, it's not really moving fast enough. The recent COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian war have only served to set us back even further. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

@Cheeseness It definitely is complex! We have really 'messed up' this planet. Is it even possible to restore it? ๐Ÿ˜ง ๐Ÿค”

@Cheeseness It's a great read. It really highlights the diversity among bee species and the lack of awareness around bumblebees, who are just as important to preserving the ecosystem.

@thelinuxEXP It seems someone at ZDNet watches your channel! ๐Ÿ˜ They appear to have taken your advice on recommending 'desktops', not distros.

This. No one is ever saying GNU/Linux . And then you'd have to add all the other projects that are as important, if not more than the GNU tools. Everyone knows that when you say "Linux", you mean the entire OS, based on context, everything else is pedantic.

RT @jason_techstuff@twitter.com

The word "Linux" has entered into the English language meaning a complete Unix-like operating system based on the Linux kernel.

@Cheeseness You seem to be really interested in bees. Have you, by any chance, read 'A Sting in the Tale' (Dave Goulson)? ๐Ÿ

@downey I am just curious. Does that mean @omgubuntu can stay on that instance since they are not in violation of any rules? ๐Ÿค”

@meelis @omgubuntu I just checked the link. That message can be interpreted in another way. The author might have actually meant to say 'stuff other than software' by 'unique interests'. In other words, discussions about 'software' might still be limited to FLOSS. If you also take into account the preceding sentence, there is good reason to believe so.

F.Y.I. This is my personal opinion and I am in no way affiliated with "FLOSS.social". I could be wrong about this. ๐Ÿ˜„

@omgubuntu Finally! Multi-page documents are here. ๐ŸŽ‰

@JoshStrobl Cool! I see now that it's mentioned under the heading as well. My bad! ๐Ÿ˜… Anyway, I'll be looking forward to it.

@Suzie97@mastodon.social @SbdJazz Wow! It looks amazing! Thanks.

@SbdJazz @Suzie97@mastodon.social I'd really like to get my hands on that. Has it been released yet?

@CleoMenezesJr @gnome That looks so cool! I feel like getting it now. ๐Ÿ˜

@Singolzd @thelinuxEXP I already read that one. Wasn't there another one he referenced? I am pretty sure he did.... ๐Ÿค”
