@JoshStrobl What's your favourite programming language?
@Solus Wait.... Are you guys running Solus Plasma (under GNOME Boxes) on Solus Plasma? 🤔
@schestowitz I used to love OpenShot. Having been a Windows Movie Maker addict once upon a time, the interface felt quite intuitive for me to use. However, due to all the bugs, I just couldn't keep using it. I am using Kdenlive now and it's a much more stable experience. Of course, I still prefer the interface of OpenShot over Kdenlive's interface but I am slowly getting a hang of it now.
I am really loving this app. Whenever I used AppImages before, I had to extract it first to get the icon file (many don't integrate with the system by default) and then create a custom launcher. Now, it's just as simple as making it executable and running it. AppImageLauncher takes care of mostly everything else.
@Kid_Paddle @Tutanota I agree. I had the same dilemma. Apart from the use of renewable energy, the other main reason why I chose Tutanota is because they provide an actual desktop client for Linux. I prefer that over the bridge that ProtonMail provides, which is quite cumbersome to setup. Not to mention, I am not a huge fan of Thunderbird's interface.
@JoshStrobl @Solus Solus is definitely a distro I adore. I really love its curated rolling-release model. It really makes sense and I do wish more distros would adopt its approach.
Firefox just got another update. I am really loving it. MPRIS has received much better support. Now, when I use Apple Music (Web), it gives me the artist's name, the name of the album and a small thumbnail to go along with it. Keep it up, #mozilla! 😍 👍🏽
Apple Has No Tolerance For Webcam Covers
"When we looked into how to solve the problem of webcam security, we opted for a simple but powerful approach in the form of hardware kill switches. With hardware kill switches, you can completely remove power from the webcam and microphone just by flipping a switch."

Tutanota is still blocked in Russia to stop encrypted communication. We need to fight for privacy around the world. ✊ If you are affected, you can still access Tutanota with a vpn or the Tor browser.

@Goldmaster @Tutanota If you need IMAP support in order to use an email client, be informed that Tutanota does have its own email client which you can use.
@Tutanota However, shouldn't your warrant canary be updated as you 'have received requests for a backdoor'?
@Tutanota I would like to applaud for the great job you did at protecting the privacy and security of each of your users, even under the threat of imprisonment. Well done! You have truly earned your place as one of the best private and secure email providers! 👏🏽
@nipos @libreoffice @ijatz_La_Hojita While I too love Arch and Arch-based distros, recommending it to new users is generally not a great idea. Arch Linux itself, especially, is pretty 'hands on'. Besides, changing your distro just to get the latest release of some software you like is somewhat outdated and inconvenient. It is much easier to install and manage something like a Flatpak, Snap or an AppImage.
@Tutanota Do you support debit cards as a payment method? I get an error when I tried with my one.
