@purism Awesome post! As an average user, I don't usually worry about firmware and hardware attacks. Thanks for educating me on this. Please consider lowering your prices. The Librem 5 and 15 are quite expensive. I really want to get them. ๐ ๐ก๏ธ ๐ฑ ๐ป
@Tutanota Great article, Arne! I am really fond of your password reset system. It is quite unique. I use a password manager to help me remember both my password and my recovery code! ๐ ๐
@Tutanota Great article! I do understand what you are saying and I am glad that you are trying to educate the people, as a company, about privacy on the internet. However, I agree with the others. Perhaps, you need to turn the 'marketing' down a little bit and promote your own services. ๐ ๐ค
@lfajardo @purism That's an interesting article! I do understand what you are saying. However, most people are not able to go to the lengths that would provide them with a decent amount of privacy protection. Hence, I generally recommend Apple over the likes of Google and Microsoft. It is better to give them some protection over no protection at all. Apple has also been received well by the EFF.
@purism I love the idea behind Librem One. I totally appreciate the fact that you guys chose to support existing services instead of bringing yet another competitor. While most of us don't realise this, most people don't switch to more privacy friendly alternatives due to the lack of convenience and not due to the shortage of alternatives. ๐
@PiratePatriot @purism
This question has actually been answered in their FAQ. The best alternative to having both parties use a Librem 5 phone is to use an E2EE Messenger. ๐ ๐ ๐ก๏ธ
With many improvements in wireless networks yet to come, I still feel that wired networks are superior. There is less interference while being more reliable. Not to mention, all this radiation is probably not good for us as well.

Thanks @gnome for the great work you do for everyone as we all benefit. By taking action on behalf of the opensource ecosystem against patent trolls it helps make the world a better place for all (maybe not the trolls though). Remember because of @purism and GNOME we finally have a great mobile phone UI. Shout out to KDE, UBUNTU touch, Pine64 and others helping linux on mobile become a safe alternative reality for all!

Firefox appears to be pushing the limits for their users' privacy protection. I personally use the Brave Browser due to their integration with known privacy extensions and TOR. Which browser do you prefer?

@purism Great job! Batch Aspen was a success in itself. I hope to see more improvements coming in Batch Birch. ๐
Do you want to improve your privacy on Windows 10 and, perhaps, improve its speed? ๐ค #privacy
@protonvpn Yay! I was right. Do I get a reward? ๐ ๐
@Tutanota It is already very disturbing to think that Google/Amazon is able to listen in on what we say. To think that this system can be abused by others as well is much more terrifying. If you do require something like Google Home and Alexa, try to use a special room where it can be exclusively set up inside your house. ๐ ๐ค ๐
@gbryant Awesome video! I really enjoyed it. Keep us updated with more Librem 5 videos. Could you please do a review for the Librem 5? It would be much appreciated. ๐ค ๐
@Tutanota Congratulations on getting a job at Tutao, Vitor! We expect great things from you! ๐
@protonvpn Great work! Keep it up. One of the downsides of using ProtonVPN was that it didn't have as much servers as some other VPN providers. By the way, is it Greece? ๐ค #VPN
@Tutanota Interesting article! Surveillance is a huge issue as it is being manipulated. However, free speech can also be manipulated. Inorder to promote 'free speech', we must also talk and act in such a way that is decent and appropriate. With great power, comes great responsibility. #FreeSpeechWeek ๐
