@Tutanota I was on ProtonMail before this and it has similar standards for security and privacy so I couldn't make up my mind at first. I decided to switch because 'all clients are open source' and 'it uses renewable energy'. Another huge reason was that you provided a complete desktop client and not a 'bridge'.

@douginamug Yes. That's right. Ubuntu dropped the Unity DE back in 18.04 LTS release. However, @popey 'upgraded' his pre-existing Ubuntu 14.04 installation on the ThinkPad to Ubuntu 20.04. It wasn't a 'clean install'. Hence, he still has the Unity DE.

I just got to know yesterday that Apple has finally taken their Apple Music web app out of beta. Finally! Linux users who use Apple Music won't get a sub par experience. Hopefully, I'll be soon seeing the 'lyrics' function on it as well. 😀

@mark@metalhead.club I had read about it somewhere but I can't remember now. If I am not mistaken, the modem and the BT modules do contain proprietary firmware. That is why an emphasis is placed on their modularity. However, I heard that they will be working on this in future versions of the Librem 5.

I agree it is a triviality but I just pointed it out for the sake of technicality. 😁 While I applaud your unique approach to encrypting emails, have you been audited by an independent security firm?

@JoshStrobl Oh.... Yeah! I prefer Firefox too. For me, I like it because it is much more secure than most. Do you use the Facebook container too? I don't really have a use for that extension since I am not on Facebook. 😉
