@mark@metalhead.club I had read about it somewhere but I can't remember now. If I am not mistaken, the modem and the BT modules do contain proprietary firmware. That is why an emphasis is placed on their modularity. However, I heard that they will be working on this in future versions of the Librem 5.
Well done, @Tutanota! However, there is one error. You said that it 'can only be accessed by one single person: You'. (This is wrong since the recipient can also read it.) I agree it is a triviality but I just pointed it out for the sake of technicality. ๐ While I applaud your unique approach to encrypting emails, have you been audited by an independent security firm?
@JoshStrobl @Raxa@framapiaf.org I really like that Purism removed the 'timelines' for Librem Social. It lets you focus on the content of the people you follow. I get the 'trending' information when I use the search function by the way.
@JoshStrobl Is your 'enhanced tracking protection' set to 'strict' too?
@JoshStrobl Oh.... Yeah! I prefer Firefox too. For me, I like it because it is much more secure than most. Do you use the Facebook container too? I don't really have a use for that extension since I am not on Facebook. ๐
@JoshStrobl Actually, you should go and give a TED talk. ๐ I could really learn a few things from you. By the way, what is your primary web browser?
@JoshStrobl Will you be continuing to work for @SolusProject@mastodon.cloud in the foreseeable future?
@streambits Nice! ๐
@popey What's your network speed like?
@Tutanota Awesome! It's great to see that you take a lot of effort to protect both your users and their recipients from being scammed. Keep it up! ๐
@mark@metalhead.club @purism Check this article: https://puri.sm/posts/how-we-designed-the-librem-5-dev-kit-with-100-free-software/.
@purism Great tips! If you are looking to move to a static site generator from Wordpress, consider using Hugo.
@purism I definitely see this as an option for installing the new Plasma Bigscreen in the future. Hopefully, KDE will support more than just the Raspberry Pi.
@Tutanota It is definitely concerning to know that this state of surveillance might remain long after this pandemic. However, we must first ensure that people can get through this safely. We'll have to deal with the consequences later. It is encouraging, though, to know that privacy preserving solutions to aid this cause are already in the works.
@JoshStrobl Wow! Thanks for sharing this. ๐
@ubuntu Can't wait for it...! ๐
@Tutanota That's a neat system. I really like the fact that you are giving more control to the users. This might really reduce the number of false positives. ๐
I was listening to some music and I ran across this gem.
