Here's an awesome security tutorial. Look out for Tutanota at 12:37 - looks like he's using our secure email service. ๐๐

@omgubuntu I don't agree with every choice. Nevertheless, these distributions do have potential. It's great to see how far this community has come from where we were. ๐ #FOSS #Linux
@omgubuntu 'Drawing' is really an app that should have come a long time ago. It's great that the Linux community is continuing to make even more leaps to bring Linux closer to the average Joe.
The poll has ended and the results are in. While Firefox was what everyone voted for, there is hardly enough votes (only 11 votes) to make viable conclusions. However, Firefox is a commendable privacy-friendly browser. It is #FOSS with open APIs, comes with 'Enhanced Tracking Protection' by default and is a generally fast browser. Just remember to follow this guide: https://blog.privacytools.io/firefox-privacy-an-introduction-to-safe/.
With a rise in digital privacy awareness, more and more web browsers are trying to market themselves as secure and privacy-friendly. Which one do you think has actually succeded in respecting your privacy the most? Leave a comment as to why you chose it. ๐ค
@protonvpn Three cheers for giving a well rounded and impartial view on how to protect your online identity! ๐ ๐
@omgubuntu While @elementary have made quite a beautiful OS, I personally feel it is a bit too restrictive. I prefer having more control. I would also like to mention that it does need a bit more polish and tighter integration with non-native apps. Apart from that, the OS itself shows a lot of potential. ๐
@omgubuntu This move will hopefully give #Ubuntu the steady revenue stream it has been looking for. If this is a success, it will allow #Canonical to improve the desktop and avoid monetizing it in ways considered controversial in the #FOSS world.
@Tutanota I've been noticing recently that a few of my emails have been getting tagged as spam mail. I am glad to see this issue has been resolved. ๐
@omgubuntu #firefox is making some great progress. It is truly a great tool to browse the web.
@purism @chomwitt I would be very interested in seeing that too! ๐ It is quite nice to see how open you are about the development process. I know that many of us know how frustrating it was to blindly trust companies while we had no authentic way to verify it. I truly appreciate that ethical companies, like yourselves, are doing something to change that. ๐ ๐
@omgubuntu I am looking forward to seeing how the GNOME team will collaborate with @purism to make the #Librem5 more intuitive to use. It's good to see that some progress seems to be on the way. ๐
@Tutanota I am quite glad that #Tutanota provided its users with a client and not a bridge. For most people, this provides a consistent UX across all platforms and generally boosts their workflow. It is one of the reasons I chose Tutanota. As a former user of ProtonMail, their 'Bridge' felt a little 'hacky' and a bit too technical. The end result was also marred by many UX issues. I understand why some people might need it but I feel that Tutanota made the right decision. ๐ #privacy4everyone
@LeBelle@radical.town @e_mydata You could just use /e/ os on your current phone. ๐ค
More and more reviews are being published about our email service - and since a couple of months about our calendar as well. ๐ It feels good to know that the data is safe in Tutanota: https://tutanota.com/blog/posts/tutanota-secure-email-review
@omgubuntu It' always good to see progress happening.
@Tutanota Aren't you mistaken? I have been using the desktop clients for some time now and I have always received notifications. ๐ค
