@rbloch66 that is a very good point.
@purism I use a computer that I built. I installed Slackware on it and I am really loving the level of control that Slackware gives. I use the xfce desktop environment with the Greybird theme (an old version of the theme because Slackware 14.2 still uses gtk 3.18)
@lunduke you are a fantastic person. I mean that. you try to spread this positive ideology of "Be excellent to each other" and even if it doesn't always spread as far as you want, you just keep on trying. Keep up the good work.
@lunduke Good Morning
@lunduke @gbryant
I didn't see this one coming: https://www.fsf.org/news/richard-m-stallman-resigns
@gnome thank you to everyone who works on the #GNOME desktop environment. I found out just how useful GNOME3 is when I figured out that I could sync the calendar with my nextcloud instance calendar and, as a result, all of my devices. it will almost certainly help me keep track of my college homework.
Keep up the good work 😀
I wish people would stop harming themselves with things like drugs and e-cigarettes. I care about people and because of this I get sad when I see things like the statistics in this video:

I love listening to the music on this youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/LucasKingPiano
@cobra2 it has also been confirmed (by Patrick Volkerding himself) that this is legit: https://www.patreon.com/slackwarelinux/overview
here is his confirmation post: https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/slackware-14/is-this-patreon-account-legit-4175658493/page4.html#post6021503
Also for those who wish to support #Slackware, in addition to the patreon, there is this link: https://paypal.me/volkerdi
for anyone who likes using #Slackware and wishes to support it after the shutdown of the #Slackware store, use this link: https://www.patreon.com/slackwarelinux/overview
Patrick Volkerding (the project's BDFL) has confirmed it's legitimacy (https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/slackware-14/is-this-patreon-account-legit-4175658493/page4.html#post6021503)
@lunduke when I eventually get my own house, should I try having a copper phone wire installed so that I can use dial-up?
I want to see if limiting what I can do on the internet will help limit the number of distractions that seem to bombard me on daily basis.
of course I could still get your show through your BBS and probably the RSS feed but I would have significantly slower internet speeds which would limit what I could do and I want slower speeds for some reason.
@lunduke I saw your post on twitter but I figured that I would respond here because I don't like using twitter
@lunduke I wish I could give you some suggestions on what computer to get for your son but I can't think of any off the top of my head... I wasn't born in the DOS era so I guess I wouldn't... have you seen this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2v7k-wAm2E
@lunduke btw not trying to be political... sorry if that post I just made had anything relating to politics, it is sort of hard to tell these days.
@lunduke I really wish that we lived in a world where a person could have an opinion and not get removed from their job/college/school. I also wish that people could voice their opinion with out worrying about getting beaten up. I know I am going to get a lot of flak for this post but that is okay.
