@joseph I know that sucks as a sales pitch from me, but I don't want you or the company thinking it needs to pay for anything I do.

Also if you don't like my designs, that's fine too. πŸ˜ƒ my artistic stuff is free to the public. πŸ˜ƒ

@joseph when I get home, how about I draw some things up and send them to you. If you like them, you can keep them. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

My skills tend to extend to iconography, but I don't make a living with it by any means. I don't really sell my work, but if you like one of my designs you can take full ownership of it for sure.

I do it for fun. πŸ˜ƒ

@m4iler good! Because I never ever came close to my targets. I was much better with the throwing hatchet thingamajig. I hit targets very easily with that.

@joseph what do you need? I'm not the primo designer, but I could throw a few things at you. πŸ˜ƒ I'm always looking for another reason to create something.

@m4iler I would be interested. I have only ever fired a yew bow once. I guess it was barebow but I didn't know it was called that until today.

@hund@linuxrocks.online I think it is the same word in both. I had a Icelandic friend say Vikingar to me once... maybe he was speaking Swedish. I don't know either language well enough to know. πŸ˜ƒ

@hund@linuxrocks.online I don't think I've ever seen it written, but if I remember my Islensku(r?) correctly that is the appropriate way to make that word plural. Is it the same in sΓ¦nska? πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

@brandon @klaatu oh maybe so... I didn't think about that. I'll check it when I get home from work.

@brandon @klaatu it complains that there are non UTF8 characters in the document, but the codes I used were strictly UTF8 codes, so I don't really understand. If I replace the characters with chars that don't need a u code, then it builds the EPUB just fine.

Today is a good day to listen to Blind Guardian all day at work.

@sean oh! I am using a weird font for my terminal... maybe that's it... thank you! I will look into this. It is the first lead I've had for almost 6 days. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

@sean oh yes, that says UTF8 for sure. I did check that. Nano is set to UTF8 too. I'm not at my computer or I would screenshot it.

@sean I am unsure. I know my system is set to UTF8 systemwide. Or is there also a Pandoc config too?

So I have been writing my book in then lately I have switched to for export into . There is a single issue I have: u00f8 doesn't translate properly with Pandoc. It throws an error and displays odd characters insteadof the one I was going for. Anyone have a remedy for me?

I hate to drag you in, but @klaatu you are one of the few people I know that uses Pandoc. You and @brandon

@ferds is included in Slackware, but I've never tried it. It is sort of my style of WM. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ I will try it now that you mention it. To be honest I never really looked into it.

I just found a documentary TV show on Amazon called Real Vikings. This is fantastic! The characters from Vikings on History Channel go through with historians and archaeologists to discover the real Vikingar(yes, I believe that is the plural of Viking)
