As a matter of fact European Union alone dedicated 1.2 billion EUR for #Palestine in 2021-2024. There were billions from other international aid organisations and private companies (Gaza IT hub) invested there.
The problem is that significant part of the money was used by #Hamas for building up its rocket arsenal, undeground tunnels and other military infrastructure, which was then used to launch the 7 October war.

Something's wrong with my electric kettle — it's like relay got short circuited and it keeps boiling water even when it should be off.
Because of it the logic that makes it heat the water gradually is also defeated and it just starts spewing boiling water all over the kitchen 😰
Luckily, no animals were harmed, but it looked scary!

And yes, of course it has new(-ish) monsters and weapons that are actually useful. And some new mechanics like those wall dispensers — no, not like in Half-Life! 😡
System Shock was first to introduce them — and relied on them heavily. Nothing original was introduces in HL. In fact, it gave me the first impression of being so unoriginal that I've given up on it almost immediately to play Shrak — another Quake mod that wasn't even that great when I look at it now. But it did have its fun parts.
