@romin
Move to Moscow — my cats are freezing here. They hate Winter and generally prefer when it's warmer, but I didn't expect them to be cold early in August — to the point that yesterday I had to dress them in their sweaters 😹
@annika
I also like the instruction "Only output valid JSON and nothing else" 😂

I can see where this is coming from: you don't even think about customisation as long as you like everything and think that it's only people who have too much time on their hands do.
It was the same with me and early Mac OS X — there are some changes that you can adapt to and I did up to 10.9, but 10.10 was so bad that it made my blood boil, on my two 30" displays using it was genuinely a tiring experience.
I treasure having the option to fix things I don't like about the UI😄

@Hyolobrika
Is it morally right or whether you can do it?
It's certainly okay to do it if you hold the citizenship. Many Russians do that and vote at polling stations they set up at embassies — and the results as you can guess are significantly different that they are on average domestically 😂
I'm not sure whether US does it the same way, but if you want to vote and can legally do that being abroad, why not? 🤷
@silhouette
It is! It didn't look cool back in the day either. But the UI designs we have today are just garbage IMO, especially what Apple dies — just looking at that is painful 😖
But the worst part with modern GNOME is that in an attempt to make it more "streamlined" they've managed to make it both garbage and way less customisable — you can't even make it look better without putting significant effort into it.

I think they are same as us — want to just have a short summary of what is there. Even people with perfect vision enjoy reading summaries before delving into long reads, right?
So "a cat looking smug laying on the desk" is fine — but if the post itself had some funny story about said cat, they might always ask you the details, e.g. what colour are the cats eyes and so on.
When it's a screenshot, I provide whats' in it as text too — it doesn't take long.

A few of my posts started getting interactions months after. I think that spending five minutes on alternative text isn't worth it in any case, make it a few sentences which would help the person decide whether they should see the picture or not. I don't know why some people make alt texts about visually impaired — I don't think that any amount of text would make you enjoy the picture if you can't see it yourself. And it's not like they want to read the description of every picture.

Oh, we have this franchise here!
I didn't know they sell burgers though 🤭
@newt
Why a separate output for headphones? Does it have a built-in amp? 🤔

It only happens when you bring it to management's attention often, and I think the role of bringing it up is significantly bigger than actually doing penny-pinching shit like this. It's more about contributing to the company's success and knowing your worth than about being a cheapskate 🤷
@bjeelka
Yesterday I laughed so hard reading this 🤣
Kinda sad that none of them expect their houses to be rebuilt, and they don't even see the problem here 😫

Just in case: DMs/PMs simply don't exist on this instance as concept — don't use them, use the other instance if you absolutely have to, or send an email to any address at m0xEE.Net or .Com or .Org, but I prefer keep most communication public.
