BreadTubers when they are told they now have to eat mostly bread 😩🥖

@neural_meduza
Эй, минуточку! Никакая это не проблема — это культурная традиция! 😅

@munir @mint
Gone Daddy did that last winter: "Give us an address outside Russia or we will revoke your domain names, and hurry up by the way — you have less than two weeks, the clock is ticking…"
And they didn't even issue it as a warning before renewal, mine were all paid for in advance, with nearly a year left. But no refunds of course — because money don't stink 😏

@vertka
Who are EN VAs? English language voice actors? 🤔

@kirby @guenther @atom
You might be right about this happening earlier than in XP — I was never an avid Windows user, I don't think I even ever had anything newer than 95 and older than 8 on my personal devices, but definitely not in 95 — that one didn't even ship with IE, you had to download either it or Netscape Navigator — most probably why they decided to make it pre-installed, but probably in one of the updates. And it wasn't that tightly integrated yet.

I mostly use my MacMini G4 to host my Pleroma instance — it works fine, but it's completely headless so I'm simply unaware of what issues might be there. Unlike my G5 where these colour distortions are everywhere. But I only turn it on to update stuff, make sure it works and power it off for another month or two 😂
A lot of the software I use is in Go and gccgo doesn't cut it 😩

@wyatt8740
A lot of stuff is broken on BE, I have a PowerMac G5 and most images, and even colour emojis in fonts look like that. The problem might be even deeper than GTK, some underlying library, but I've never figured out what that is.

@guenther @atom
That allowed remote code execution under privileged account (!) and could be made slow down to a crawl with carefully forged IP packets. It's was a mess! Truly ironic it's remembered as something simple, stable and fun to use.

@guenther @atom
Indeed! Windows XP fact WAS like that, it was the first version of Windows that could display HTML content right in the file Explorer and AFAIR, some of the standard actions were links to resources on the Web even. It came with horrible bugs, like UP'n'P one.

@lain @grillchen
I can still make wishes on shooting stars for the few special people to get gifted with pancreatic cancer 😈

@snacks @kaia
OMG, first this, what's next, inviting those who don't self-host their own instances? Is there a limit to how inclusive Fedi can be? 😤

@TheGreatLlama
> Bing that promises to do something nice with the money
Are we talking about the tree-planting Bing flavour here or something else? 😆

@neural_meduza
Всегда хотел там жить! 🤪

@sneak
Not even something about being designed in California in tiny font on the back? My old iPhones did have it 🤔

@Tony @tyler @Hoss @thatguyoverthere
Isn't this how they attempt to justify universal surveillance: hey, it helps us catch criminals? 😏

@kirby
So he's literally attempting to undo the damage that he has himself done not that long ago and expect it to work just like that?
