@Moon
Because most people make GIFs by converting videos in the most straightforward way with ffmpeg without putting any effort at all into optimizing them after 😆

I sometimes like them and I still haven't disabled them on my instance, but some people just get TOO annoying with them 😩

@ShaMyouiMo
And where is it? TBH I don't even understand how search works in Pemorla, considering statuses are stored in JSON form in the DB 🤷
Well, probably PostgreSQL does some of the job parsing it. I think it can work with JSON objects, but I've never looked into how it's actually done.
@kirby

@ShaMyouiMo
They now have this cool thing called search 😏

Most don't seem to understand that by supporting Palestine (whatever that might mean) they aren't solving the underlying core problem: ordinary people they want to support have no control over their lives, just like they have no say in what this money gets spent on 😩

@hj
Ha-ha, yes it is! All EFI-capable machines I have are Macs and they have a handy boot selector that looks for .EFI-files on all attached media and which you can fire up holding Option/Alt at boot.
It breaks the linux's suspend/resume from disk though: you have to use the exact same entry system was originally booted for resume to succeed — that's a bit annoying too, I've lost the saved state a couple of times this way 😩

Yeah, that Edge stuff is really annoying. In Windows 11 it did break things like widgets, in Windows 10 it doesn't really break anything, but I can't install newer Visual Studio without WebView2, which is unfortunate — not that I use VS itself, but I need build tools for Rust and CGo support in Go. Well, anyway — older ones still work 🤷

@quad
That's odd, for me the winget way always worked — it's not very obvious, but nonetheless. It stopped working with one of the updates last autumn, but it looked more like a bug than something done intentionally. The next update that restored it, the winget way started working again both for Edge itself and for WebView2 — which I don't want in my system either.
It could be related with that court ruling of course, but I did not look so 🤔

@hj
Isn't it relatively easy to restore them though. I think it's just an ordered array of descriptors of where to look for bootloaders 🤔
@quad @eal

@quad
You can remove new Edge using winget. They did break it with one of the updates, but I think it works again now.

@th3rdsergeevich

@MK2boogaloo I do like meaningful soundtracks that have artistic value even outside of the game TBH
Transistor OST is a great example of one: supergiantgames.bandcamp.com/a
I have it on CD that came with deluxe edition of the game and I sometimes listen to it even though I haven't played the game in years. I think Darren Korb did an impressive job with it and with Bastion soundtrack too. I presume both of their later games have good OSTs too, but I'm yet to play them.

@glennsills
If you work at a store where they sell candles? Someone will — they just won't know it 😏
@Miriamm

@thatguyoverthere
Exactly! I didn't have a job even before the lockdown, but at least I didn't have to eat bread, e-eww! 😖

I mean it doesn't know any answers that we don't already know, the trick is to expand very vague criteria it's given with what people are likely to expect — no magic there 🤷
