@cohomologyisFUN Car-centric culture has nothing to do with it, I come from non car-centric culture and I'm a pedestrian myself most of the time and yet I hate cyclists with passion.
The infrastructure might differ from country to country and even from city to city, but cars and pedestrians on average are a lot better separated, cyclists move where they see fit and, not everyone is like that of course, but there are A LOT of total assholes among them.

@Mojeek Can you also add bang shortcuts like that buoyant birdie engine has, like: "!w something" to look up "something" on Wikipedia, I know most browsers have search plugins nowadays, but some don't and it still may come extremely useful, I can have Mojeek as a sole search engine, but use others just in case by applying prefixes. I don't think that it's a huge hit on traffic either so why not?

@useless_idiot You were right about police raids on Muslims, today a protest against disrupting prayers took place in Moscow. No information at the moment on whether anyone was detained, but I think this might get hot. This crowd is very different from Russian protesting youth — police usually does their best not to interfere, but now it looks like it's no longer an option

@M_U@toot.community With this Twitter shit going on I've lost access to a lot of sources of interesting opinions and I may be behind on some topics. Russian language political community on Twitter is unrivaled and no one ever tried to re-establish it elsewhere which is odd as it's a lot safer here, Fedi is probably not even on the radar. Same with Telegram — Matrix would probably be much safer. Smaller user base is likely a significant factor to many 🤷

@M_U@toot.community My opinion on this is that it was mostly for the show, some fronde among the loyal was tolerated as they wanted to keep some figures influential among those with such opinions so it would be easier to make them stomach some hard to swallow decision in case such situation arises, but Prigozhin's endeavour probably made voicing such opinions too dangerous. Maybe he just crossed someone's road for real this time — hard to tell.

@M_U@toot.community Even if they throw his still breathing… ehm, corpse to the pigs, nothing of value would be lost really, but this is a good indicator that system is indeed in serious turmoil and they are running out of figures to shift the blame to. Getting rid of diehard warmongers might also be preparation to some "peace talks", but I doubt it'll work so well as it did in 2014-2015 if at all possible.

I had to patch dwm again to move emoji a couple of pixels lower. I hate it when the gaps are uneven.

Maybe firmware in it is too old, but I don't want to update it as I'm not sure my cart will still work — some were banned in updated.
Have to investigate, I hope I'll be able to find ROM that works.
