@neural_meduza Ну вроде как похоже на настоящую новость 🤷

Went looking for http-accept syntax trying to fix this shit and you know what? This is the example Mozilla themselves give in their docs — prefer WebP over everything else: developer.mozilla.org/en-US/do
Here:
// Multiple types, weighted with the quality value syntax:
Accept: text/html, application/xhtml+xml, application/xml;q=0.9, image/webp, */*;q=0.8

Why the fsck they suck up to Google so much and why do independent developers support this Google abomination? 😩

Just updated my Nitter instance from GitHub and when I tried using it I noticed that nearly all images and video previews are gone. My first idea was that something's wrong with the CSS as I didn't update those. Did that — didn't fix the problem so I fired up network monitor in Firefox and noticed that it tries to retrieve all images in WebP format 🤯
grepped Nitter's source and that's it — it's what it does now and it's not even an option, it's hardcoded like that!

@gemlog Societies are polarized everywhere and gov'ts aren't against that — it's safer when people fight each other instead of collective action against gov't bullshit.
But in Russia it gets absolutely ridiculous — young people who have no idea of what's conservative and what's progressive are eager to have opinions on transgenders or guns, it's just safer to discuss first world problems and not what's happening under their nose, they can have good olde Twitter bash and not go to jail this way 😆

@gemlog Well, it's still quite far from what could be called a regime, in fact I think it's the opposite of that 😄
J.T. regime is a prime example of Soviet-style rhetoric. Not that I'm not used to such wording in the news headlines, but this is an official statement — even I didn't expect that, they must have been real desperate when they came up with it, they had to respond with something, but when it comes to Canada they are out of cards to play, so they just mock Trudeau.

@gemlog Exactly! That is why Fedi is so great, when I started using it I sometimes got caught in this myself — pigeonholing people like I used to on other social media, like if this person thinks this, he must also think that and if I tell him this, he'll respond with that, but no, here things are different, you can have a conversation even if you don't agree on some topics and if you don't touch that on purpose you can get along just fine, discuss other things and have fun.

@gemlog
Oh yes!
Number 4, Raymond Sung Joon Cho, Ontario Minister for Seniors and Accessibility — this one has to be a real supervillain 😂

@gemlog Does your instance make your old posts inaccessible, I wanted to reply to your post about how much more Russians have to pay, but it seems I'm not able to find it anymore 🤔
Anyway… At least Russians don't have to suffer from something as horrible as Justin Trudeau regime. I'm serious, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the state that introduces forced draft unironically calls what you have in Canada a regime 🤣

@coldacid
That might have been the whole point of this poll — discrimination against zoophiliacs, so they would rise up and fight for their rights.
To party!

This reminds me that I have found an M-Powered CD last week when I was looking for something else. And I have an M-Audio card. And I have also found a Bass Station CD. Maybe I should try putting those to use 😁

@EricZhang456 @charlie_root @10leej @splitshockvirus
Whoah!😯 I didn't know such a thing existed!
TBH I haven't used Pro Tools for decades. M-Powered edition did everything in software unlike regular Pro Tools which offloaded what TDM-plugins did to actual hardware. It probably made sense for them to develop it further so it could run on any hardware, but I didn't know they did that 😋

@EricZhang456 @charlie_root @10leej @splitshockvirus
Can you do 5.1 mixing in FL these days? Maybe you can, I just don't know. In Logic you most probably can, but there was a time you could only do it properly in Pro Tools. It's no longer a thing anyway, with audio streaming looks like everyone is back to stereo only nowadays.

@EricZhang456 @charlie_root @10leej @splitshockvirus
I don't think that such cracks make sense as there is no point in running Pro Tools without the actual hardware, there was Pro Tools M-Powered for M-Audio hardware, but I think it's no longer alive and AFAIR Avid sold what was left of M-Audio long time ago.

@neural_meduza Купили новую насадку для душа? 🤔

@DotardTed
> Macron’s ‘Strategic Autonomy’
The guy who was calling Putin and listening to bullshit about NATO for hours? He definitely has some bright ideas! 🤣
From the article: Macron told POLITICO and French newspaper Les Echos that Europe had to limit its dependency on the United States and avoid getting pulled into "crises that are not ours."
Who's going to bail you out of crises that are yours then? OMG why European leaders are such a goddamn disgrace?

@enduser@berserker.town TBH it happened to me a lot, even with the movies that I grew to like later. For example Fight Club — like WTF, they are making soap, why should that be interesting? Later I was introduced to Jung's archetypes and so maybe Tyler was a representation of protagonist's shadow, maybe the girl didn't exist either and was his Anima — these theories made the movie a whole lot more enjoyable to watch 😅

@enduser@berserker.town I was pretty close to that. Of course I knew that the Matrix was some sort of VR, but the fact that there was war against machines or that people are used as power source either didn't make it to me during all these years or have been well forgotten.
I did try watching it several times when it just came out, but I always found it boring for some reason so I never finished it.

@sneak Wasn't it originally supposed to be a part of that concept album about disorders that was never finished, but most tracks from which were later released as Artifakts [bc]?

@enduser@berserker.town The 4th one does overuse some plot devices, but original trilogy did that too. A lot! Some tech works differently, their costumes look different, but a few decades have passed in the fictional universe too so there is nothing wrong with that. And no one was wearing leather trench-coats in late 90-ies early 2000s either, it did look weird too, but everyone considered it cool, there is nothing uncool about how characters look in the 4th movie either. A solid sequel!

@enduser@berserker.town I don't get why many dislike the 3rd movie — worthy conclusion of that line IMO, battles and the machine city look impressive, 2nd one was a bit boring maybe, but I suspect the action sequences had been looking way more impressive when it it came out than what they are now, but no biggie, it expands the lore and is still nice. What I didn't like about the 1st one is that romance kinda springs at you out of nowhere — it doesn't feel properly built up, not the worst example of it either.
